lol, that car looks so weak, pussy and rubber toy looking but at the same time a little charming and likeable.

man you guys get things abit late dont you?

It is the Honda Jazz, that's why. Personally, I think the Fit is a bit of a waste in the States. It only gets marginally better MPG than a Civic and only costs a few hundred less (Yeah, hundred, not thousand). It is not like we need it for its size; we actually have space to move around in America. Plus, a Civic is more powerful, which is always nice.

One of my co-workers just got his and I checked it out yesterday. It's not bad at all - very utilitarian, and I'd rather get one of these $13K 40MPG cars than overpay for a Prius....though I'm not about to trade in the Mustang ;)

screw that get a new golf TDi.

my mates did 48mpg the otherday, we tested it. filled it up, went to silverstone to watch some F1 cars, came back, filled up again and worked out that it did roughly 48-50mpg

not bad froma 1.9litre TDi crusing at 80+ on the motorway

btw it seems only old people drive the honda jazz around here lol, though i did get overtaken by one yesterday, driven by a woman who looked 65+....my cars gutless :(

I finally saw a Fit the other day... it doesn't look as dopey in person. I'd definitely consider the hybrid version that's coming out next year if they can keep it near 15k.

yeah, but the fit at that price is loaded and has 5 doors, while the civic is a coupe and has a minimum of standard equipment. a decent civic costs $20,000 these days, and depending on your needs, may offer significantly less cargo flexibility. $5000 is a lot of money. don't get me wrong, i'd rather drive an Si than a Fit, but the Fit definetely has its appeal, and Car and Driver loved it, especially compared to the competition. they liked the handling, the inventive cargo flexibility, they compared the instrument cluster to an acura, etc.

Uhh.... Why would you go straight for the $20k Civic?
