The first new Gaza aid flotilla is already moving.

Lemon law

Partly because of previous Gaza aid flotillas, direct peace talks between Israel and Abbas resumed, meanwhile Gaza aid flotillas halted, and the big question to peace talks was Israel's decision on a post 9/27/ 2010 extension of a settlement freeze.

Now, Netanyuhu has given Israel's official answer as he did not extend the settlement freeze. And as I predicted, Gaza aid flotillas will resume. As the first one sailed today, carrying a diverse crew from a variety of major power nations.

What different now is that Israel has lost the ability to claim its blockade of Gaza has any shred of legitimacy, and now descends to the level of pirates if it stops this boat.

Life comes at us fast, and tat is just the few of what I am guessing will be a large number of Gaza aid flotillas.

let them enter the area with warning and blow them out of the water, nothing ANYONE, including the UN and it's various councils can say about that.

You have a right to protect your area and once a warning is out, if they proceed, just sink them.

If the "aid" flotilla enters Israeli waters, they have the right to stop it and search it for weapons / contraband. If they resist or refuse to allow search and proceed, then after a clear warning, the Israelis have the right to prevent the delivery of whatever might be on-board.

Earth to JOS, Earth to JOS, the flotilla is not invading Israel, its sailing to Gaza and Gaza
does not belong to Israel. What do you fail to understand when the UN has declared the Israeli blockade of Gaza is not legitimate. If Israel wants to reduce itself to the level of pirates, they can commit armed robbery by force, but no one will tolerate armed robbery
as an Israeli right.

No, they have a right to do that in international waters, once it reaches the area, they have a right to sink it or take it over completely.

That was the problem last time around, they didn't board to search, they boarded to take over command and that isn't allowed, if they had waited and shot them out of the water, the UN would not have had any grounds to critisise them.

I hope they learned from their past.

It doesn't matter, if you are not allowed passage, a warning is issued and if the line is crossed and the area is entered the ship should be treated as hostile.

I agree that their previous actions regarding the last flotilla were wrong, against naval and international laws but that is just because they took command, they DO have a right to search in international waters if there is a statement that they will enter your area, if warned and they still enter, you do have the right to blow them out of the water.

This is the way these things work, why do you think that the multiple incidents when a ship has been inside a border and been sunk haven't resulted in more than it has? It's because that's the way it works, there are no naval laws or international laws to protect a foreign vessel that has been warned if they enter.

This simple small sailing craft poses no threat to Israel, but if Israel boards the ship, its going to go straight to the UN, and every single nation on record as opposing Israel refusal to extend the settlement freeze will have a ready made incident to send a clear dope slap to Israel.

What the international community does actually do with this incident remains to be seen, but Israeli credibility hands in the balance. Will Israel pay a huge price for its failure to extend the settlement freeze is the real question. Point granted, Israel may get away with the same song its been playing for 43 years, but this time Israel is going to get tested like never before. Just like South Africa did, and it ended their games when crunch time came.

Lemon Head,

When do the Palestinians get held accountable for anything?

They won't, they will issue a warning and if they don't heed the warning they will be sunk.

The EU, the UN and the US will not say a word since no international law or naval law was broken.

They could always go via Egypt and get blown out of the water there instead, then your head would probably explode, wouldn't it?

Well JOS good question, since Egypt is among the list of Nations that asked Israel to extend the settlement freeze, your head may be the one to explode when Egypt ends its co-operation with The Israeli blockade of Gaza. And your head may explode again if Jordan opens its border to West Bank imports and exports.

Then there is an international court that Israel would have to deal with if it boards a ship illegally. Like I say, life comes at us fast, this is just the first new consequences for Israeli refusal to extend the settlement freeze. Zillions more will follow.

That doesn't matter at all, a blockade can be one sided without international treaties, the UN has already acknowledged that.

Egypt respects the blockade, they won't let them through.

AND as i said, they won't board sheit, they will sink the ship and they will be in their full right to do so if they enter Israeli terrirory after a warning, no international or naval laws will be broken.

How can you not understand that, i am typing it slow and clear for your dumb arse but you cannot read?

No legitimacy? Hamas has given them plenty of legitimacy... partly due to the over 20 rockets and mortars fired into Israel THIS MONTH... some of which included phosphorus bombs.

Didn't hear you or the UN make a peep about that... I thought Hamas wanted peace? I thought Israel was the aggressor?

You're a pathetic person LL... and I'll defer to my sig for everyone to see your true character.

I am curious as to the answer here as well. I don't think I've ever heard of a Palestinian taking responsibility for anything; everything gets blamed on Israel + US.

This may as well be a rhetorical question considering who is being asked...

What's between the settlement freeze and the flotilla? Why don't why throw Golan Heights and the Israeli nuclear program into this mix?
You seem to be more and more peculiar as things deviate from your predictions. Gee, I wonder what would happen when Israel starts rebuilding and nothing significant happens.

Your analysis and reality are two parallel lines which never seem to cross.

Point granted Sammy, will Israel get away with playing the same song for 43 years again, or is 2010, the time when the Israeli same old song finally jumps the shark.

But yes, if the Israeli song and dance finally jumps the shark, everything including the Golan heights will be on the table. Does it really matter which issue ends the Israeli song and dance? Its just a new reality that this particular flotilla will be another problem for Israel to justify. And one day, the Israeli ability to justify its behavior will reach an end. Exactly how it happens, is hard to predict, when it happens is hard to predict, but right now Israel is very rapidly losing its international credibility.

Yea, yea. One day. For now, Israel is doing just fine. Your theories of an Israeli doomsday in the face of the Palestinian PR machine might be valid if you bring up one reason why the world should favor Palestinian interests over those of the Israelis.

Oh, did you see this? Wouldn't it be ironic if the tables turn on Abbas and he's marked as the one who used the West Bank end of building freeze as an excuse, eh? I'm sure Obama sees past Abbas in this regard.

Lol. I hope the Israeli's sink it.

The group said they were taking a symbolic load of medicine, a water-purifying kit and other humanitarian aid.

Its oldest member is an 82-year-old Holocaust survivor, Reuven Moskovitz. “Israel doesn’t have moral borders,” Mr. Moskovitz said. “I’m going because I am a survivor. When I was in a ghetto and almost died, I hoped there would be human beings who would show compassion and help.”

Rami Elhanan, an Israeli peace activist whose 14-year-old daughter, Smadar, was killed by a Palestinian suicide bomber in 1997, said: “I want to raise my voice against evil and draw attention to 1.5 million people under siege. This is inhuman.”

Just wondering what your stake in this is?
Or you just find destruction with the possibility of some people getting killed funny.

We saw what happened last time Israel played nice and boarded them instead. Now there is no excuse for Israeli's disregard for the lives of its men. Sink anything that runs the naval blockade.

I saw a picture of this flotilla vessel 🙂

They should be able to hide behind a small wave and sneak right past the Isrealis
