Newegg has been advertising on TPIR for a while now. It's a waste of money for them, IMHO.

Why? Have they lost money? Don't they have an ad department/budget?

Can someone tell me how a girl from Mexico going to school in Texas can be Miss Michigan?

She does get bonus points for being born exactly six days after I was born. :)

The million dollar show looks like it's trying to get younger demographics.

So, how much was the computer system?

Sure they have an ad department, but out of all the things they could be doing, is TPIR even marginally effective? Given that it's watched mostly by housewives and retirees (especially since Barker retired with all of the show's credit with the younger demographics) I'm not sure anyone is actually going to buy something from them based on seeing TPIR. It's a show targeted at people that do B&M shopping, after all.

"I'd like to bid $1"

....him and the guy who bids "$801" to the previous persons bid of "$800" should be punched in the face.

My 22 month old son loves this show. Every time it comes on he says "price!" then puts his fist in the air and starts going "Yaaaaaaayyyy!!". There's also much celebration on his end whenever a new contestant is called or a car is shown. :)

Can't believe they haven't redecorated that place yet. Sheesh.

Pretty lame show tonight. Hardly any winners, and the first million bucks literally had a 1% chance of being won, and the guy would of had to risk the car he just won. They should of just let him guess without having to risk the car, it was like a 1 in 100 chance anyways. No one in their right mind would risk a $24,000 car for a 1 in 100 (probably much worse) chance at a million bucks. At least the last million bucks was easier to get, still had to get the showcase within 1000 bucks, which isn't too easy.
