Been a long time since i made any of these. I was up pretty late last night and bored, so i decided to see what i could come up with. I kinda like it, but it needs some tweaking.

Nice. You use some version of Byrce to do that?

Bryce 5. But ive been learning terragen lately, it really kicks bryce's ass. LINK

Looks pretty damn good and way better than anything I could do, but it's kind of boring.

Add some little features that you may not see initially to keep the person coming back to look at it.

Thanks, yea im gonna add some small detail once i get back home this afternoon.

looks like generic bryce that anyone could do in 5 minutes by auto generating a landscape and adding a water plane.

Actually this one took me longer than the usual 5 mins, i played around for awhile with the textures to make adjustments for height and slope...

Damn, you're harsh. It looks nice.

I didn't say it looked bad, but it's true. You could have never used bryce before in your life, install it, and have that picture made in 5 minutes.

So about 20 minutes, then? 😉

I don't think I could do that in 5 minutes. It usually takes me like forever to figure out new stuff, but then I guess I can't be sure since I haven't tried. I think it's pretty amazing that was done with software. Looks like fun to do.

Seriously, I don't mean to take away from your talent, but...

I was about to learn Bryce3D but then thought to myself... what good are images like that? Can't even use it for a webpage or anything... and I don't use backgrounds. That's the only thing I can think of... unless you work for a film animation studio or something...

Ever heard of art?

Not everything has to serve a purpose, some things are just nice to look at.

Art... true. However, Bryce does a lot of that for you... since it comes with templates and textures. "Art" is usually reserved for more original work. Again, I don't mean to take away from any creative talent that you used in that piece, I don't know for sure if you used any of Bryce's templates or textures.
