Any suggestions would be a big help

GTS, I forgot to list that, dual GTX's were not in the budget at the moment, I am using a Samsung Syncmaster 940BF right now, I will upgrade for my birthday, to a 24 inch wide screen, I would go for a 30 inch but I think my wife would truly kill me

If you only going for a 24" widescreen, then two 8800's of either flavor would be overkill. It would be more beneficial I think to get just one 8800GTX for now, and upgrade to another one in the future when they are cheaper.

With the money you save, you could get a nice 20.1" widescreen to go with that 24" for an amazing dual monitor setup.

well I cannot get a monitor right now as I would have to lug it back to germany with me, I want a 30 inch monitor, but it would not fit on my desk so much as my wife would kill me, although she wouldnt complain about playing oblivion on a 30inch hahaha

really, I just think the idea of SLi is amazing, I just dont want to be disappointed by my choice of going for one GTX when I could have had 2 GTS's

But that's only useful at really, really high resolutions. The GTX is more powerful than a GTS by itself, but if you want to upgrade you can just plop another GTX in, whereas with the GTS SLi you'd need to replace both cards.

yeah I can get a sound card now with just one GTX instead of two gts's, if I plan on going with TWO GTXs at some point, would a Silencer 750w quad be better than just the normal Silencer 750

so what do you think about the tough power 850, I really like the 750 quad, but I also like the idea of modular cabling
