The film 'Gladiator' needs a sequel apparently

The score in Gladiator is top tier. It's up there with the best of them. The movie as a whole is just a perfect 10.

Fun fact. If you listen closely to the Gladiator soundtrack and Pirates of the Caribbean they sound very similar. You might say that's because Han Zimmer composed both. That's not entirely true. Zimmer was the composer for Gladiator and the second Pirates movie but not the first. Klaus Badlet was the composer for the first Pirates movie. Who was Klaus? Hans Zimmers roommate. They colloborated on a bunch of stuff at the time so you can hear the similarities in their pieces.

i watched it a couple nights ago and was thinking that exact same thing!

i'd never noticed it before for some reason, but definitely was thinking "... i think somebody stole this theme for PotC"

You might also hear some similarities in Pacific Rim and Warcraft, composed by Ramin Djawadi, who studied under....Hans Zimmer!
