Actually, I think BadThad was talking about personal gains after referencing team move to 23rd place, as team movement is generally fairly slow.

Huh? The FAD TeAm is now in 23rd, lol. 😀

We're now 22nd!!!

Holy Crap - just got my electric bill, and it's only for 5 of my 17 machines (other 12 at another location, but I may have a coronary when I see THAT bill). Quick poll - how much is your electricity per KWH? It's 8 cents here in Charleston, SC, which seems a tad high. I vaguely recall Boston, MA being somewhere around 3 cents, but that was 8 years ago.

Correct me if I'm wrong:
5 machines at avg 300W = 1500W or 1.5KW x 24 hours x 30 days x $.08 = about $86 (total bill was $130)
so
12 at other location would be a little over $200? OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't tell you how much my bill is because I don't pay it. You can bet though that when I move out in a few months my production will drop big time since I won't be able to aford a huge electric bill.

It should not be that high...remember there are many factors involved in the process ..

Not having a monitor on is a big factor.
SEcond, if they are dedciated crunchers and dont have other peripherals then you luck out on that respect as well
For the crucnhers then having cheap 2MB/16MB video cards also consume less electricity than say a 9700 PRo in each
A fast Raptor 10K drive vs. a normal 7200 or even 5400RPM model.

etc

Finally, even under peak usage the amount of electricity used is still not that high.
I believe a P4 3.2 uses only about 80-90Watts of power with other parts using a tiny extra added amount?

Either way you get the picture 😀

40K+ dump this afternoon. And I just got the Barton 2500 on MSI Delta-L with a pair of DDR400 modules. Look out, baby, here I come!!!

🙁 She won't boot! 😕
Wouldn't ya know? Been hankering for this beast for a month and t may be DOA. Everything powers/spins and no beeps, but no video.

Congrats. Guess who got his Barton 2500+ running at 3200+ this evening with dual channel DDR400. CPU rating is 210 - does that sound right?

Baldy18 noticed Dutch Power Cows lept to 19th place with the addition of a user who had nearly 2 million points in their bag. Yeah, that's fair...

Maybe we should look for our own addition like that.😉

It will just give us the fun of catching and passing them again.🙂

It looks like the new member the DPC picked up has now left them. They are back in 25th place and we are back in 22nd.
