I just got this from PC:

We are writing today to announce the latest changes at PointClick. As you have noticed, our shopping model has been changing. As of October 2nd, it will change into its final form. We hope you will find the new approach inviting and interesting. We have worked to improve the look and feel of the site, and the new approach to rewards will allow us to give you the opportunity to profit more than before. The changes you will notice next week will include the following:

Beginning October 2, you will be earning POINTS for surfing and shopping. You will no longer be offered cash for surfing, nor will stores carry percentage discounts. We will no doubt still offer cash incentives from time to time, but generally points will be what you earn.
The points you earn will automatically enter you into sweepstakes where you can win cash and prizes. The more you surf and shop, the better your chances are of being a winner. PointClick will announce daily, monthly, and quarterly winners. (This is not like a lottery, where there may be no winner. Every sweepstakes has a winner.)
In October you will have the opportunity to win one of 60 BIG SCREEN TV's and $50,000 in cash. In addition, you'll be entered automatically in the quarterly drawing for $100,000, which will be awarded on December 31, 2000.
Any money you currently have in your account will be available for you to spend as you shop through December 31, 2000.
You still will be able to save 5% on specified sites through September 29. So if you've been waiting to make a purchase and you want to save an extra 5%--now is the time!
You've asked for a larger selection of sites to shop. We've added 150 new brand name sites in the last 60 days and continue to add sites daily. If availability of product is important to you, our site has just improved dramatically.
For more detailed information about the sweepstakes click on the link below.
http://www.pointclick.com/sweepstakes.jsp

We realize that these are dramatic changes to the way the site operates. We believe that they will ultimately provide a more rewarding shopping experience. Shop in October and win one of our first prizes.

Yep. I just got off the phone with them about my check pending for August. I was told those checks will go out next week. I was also told they expect to give away an average of 2 60" TVs a day during the first month of the new model... after that I guess it's anyone's guess... they'll probably drop it down to paper clips or something. ;)

man my monitor buying experience has been crap.
I bought a 900nf august 28th, using pointclick and relying on a rebate, as well as a 50 off from onvia.ca .So far I've been giving ETAs of 7th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 24th, 29th, 30th of september, and now its moving onto the 10th of october. I hate this, just sitting around waiting for the next day to call them and have the dissapoint me even more thoroughly than the previous day. I just hope pointclick comes through. I may miss the rebate, the canadian 50bucks back is for purchases made before sept. 30th, and must be mailed with upc and receipt copy by the 30th of october. I Hate this~! gimme 19" or give me death.

alright guys, I'm really confused. So are we just supposed to spend the money under "pending check" at one of their merchants? If so, how the heck do you do that? Buy it with your credit card and then they will reimburse you with the money in your account? Someone please explain. Thanks:)

Here's the latest from their site. If you thought it was confusing before, don't bother now (*4* different kinds of points, double & triple clicks, some are entries, some disappear every day, bleah...)

No answer yet on what people w/ less than $25 in their account should do.

Getting Points

You will automatically earn points each time you click on a link and for each dollar you spend making a purchase on the site (not including shipping, gift wrapping). Each point gives you one entry into the sweepstakes drawing. Each link on the site will have two numbers next to it, the first number will be points for surfing and the second number will be points for each dollar spent on a purchase. It will look like this:

exampleonlinestore.com 15 100

All points collected from clicking on links will be reflected on the clicker ticker on the top of your screen. All points collected from purchases made will reflected on the clicker ticker when the purchase has been validated through PointClick. (Expect a two to five day delay.)
You can also get points for each of the daily, monthly and quarterly sweepstakes by mail.
A member may accrue up to 1000 points per 24-hour period from surfing, beginning at 12:00 a.m. Mountain Time.
Each link will give a member one set of entries per 24-hour period beginning at 12:00 a.m. Mountain Time. For example: exampleonlinestore.com 15 100 - provides 15 points per 24-hour period for clicking on the link and provides unlimited entries for purchases made on the site.
From time to time links will provide double, triple, quadruple, etc. the value of the entries for an unspecified period of time. For example: exampleonlinestore.com 15 DOUBLE 100 TRIPLE - provides 30 points a click and 300 points per dollar purchased.

Viewing Your Entries
As you click from page to page, the clicker ticker will automatically update to reflect the new points you have collected towards the daily, monthly, and quarterly Sweepstakes drawings. When you make a purchase and validate your purchase through PointClick the clicker ticker will reflect the points you've received. (Expect a two to five day delay.) From time to time links will provide multiple entries for clicking and purchasing on sites. You may also get entries in each of the sweepstakes using the alternative "mail-in" method of entry. As a result, the points in your clicker ticker may not be the same as your total number of points, including regular points, purchasing points, multiple points and offline points. We've hired an independent sweepstakes execution company to help us make sure that all of your points - online or off - get counted in each sweepstakes drawing.
We sometimes provide host sites with the ability to provide points to their customers on their site to be used in the Shopping Network sweepstakes. Click on the Shopping Home link to get back to the shopping home page that displays your clicker ticker to view any points you may have accrued on a host site. These points will be included on the daily, monthly, and quarterly sections of your clicker ticker.
At 12:00 a.m. Mountain Time each day, your daily points will reset to zero. Don't worry. Your points for the previous day did not disappear - they were transferred to an independent sweepstakes execution company for the daily sweepstakes drawing and points into the monthly and quarterly sweepstakes drawing.
Similarly, at the end of each month and each quarter your number of points in each of these sweepstake drawings will reset to zero. Again, these points have not disappeared; they have just been transferred to an independent sweepstakes execution company for the monthly and quarterly prize drawings, respectively.

Entry Limits
No entry limit exists for the sweepstake drawings. Each link will give you one set of points per 24 hours. Points accrued for purchases are limited only by your purchasing, the more you buy the more points you get.

Odds of Winning
The more points you get, the greater your chances of winning.
To be eligible to win, you should only have one account on the Shopping Network. If you have signed up with the Shopping Network at home, at work, or anywhere else, you should not register again in a different place. Instead, you should click on any link labeled "Sign in." You will then be asked for your member name and password.
Odds of winning in each of the daily, monthly, and quarterly prizes will vary depending upon the number of points you collect and overall membership, site usage, and offline points.

Prizes and Prize Give-away
Each daily sweepstakes winner will be able to select one of various prizes displayed on the daily sweepstakes prize page. These prizes have a retail value of approximately $5,000.
Each monthly sweepstakes prizes will be given away on or around the first business day of the month starting November 1, 2000. The $50,000 monthly prize will be given away to one lucky winner each month and will be paid out in one lump sum.
Each quarterly sweepstakes prize will be given away on or around the first business day of the quarter starting January 1, 2001. The $100,000 quarterly prize will be given away to one lucky winner each quarter and will be paid out in one lump sum.
Each winner will be notified by e-mail or by the United States Postal Service of winning the sweepstakes within five (5) business days after the sweepstakes drawing. A winner must claim the prize by e-mail or by the United States Postal Service within 10 business days of the sweepstakes drawing.

Winner Selection Process
Each day a winner of the daily sweepstakes will be chosen at random from all points collected during the previous day. The winner will select the prize of their choice from one of the various prizes displayed on the daily sweepstakes prize page. (For purposes of the sweepstakes, each day starts at 12:00 a.m. Mountain Time and ends at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time.)
Around the first business day of the month during the Sweepstakes period, a monthly prizes winner will be chosen at random from all points collected from 12:00 a.m. Mountain Time on the first day of the previous month through 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time on the last day of the previous month.
Around the first business day of the quarter starting January 2001, the quarterly prize winner will be chosen at random from all points collected from 12:00 a.m. Mountain Time on the first day of the previous quarter through 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time on the last day of the previous quarter.
Odds of winning in each of the daily, monthly, and quarterly sweepstake drawings will vary depending upon the number of points you have collected (both online and offline), and the number of points collected by other participants in the Sweepstakes.
The more points you have in connection with each daily, monthly, and quarterly sweepstakes, the greater your chances of winning.

Winner Announcement
Each daily sweepstakes winner will be announced on the shopping web site approximately 7 days after being selected.
Each monthly $50,000 sweepstakes winner will be announced on the shopping web site approximately 7 days after being selected.
Each quarterly $100,000 sweepstakes winner will be announced on the shopping web site approximately 7 days after being selected.
All announced winners are featured on the winners web page section.

Uh oh. About this points thing... what will happen to our accounts? I have $17 in my balance and a $45 pending check... are we going to get our money or what? I will be royally pissed if pointclick decides to not send me a check and instead "converts" the cash into points. :|

According to the email some people got (I didnt), you can use that remaining balance on purchases somehow. How exactly you go about that is unclear. If anyone know the specifics on this, let us know please! Now their site is down, and is coming back up on the 2nd. I better not lose my $^!@^% money.

I show $0 as well on the login page. I checked the members area and it still shows my check approved from 8-8-00. I emailed to ask about how to spend my pending $s and got no specifics what so ever.

Go to the Member Area link and from there, check your "Account History." You will find your status of payment and a cash balance. From there you can also submit a request for reimbursement.

Ok, thats what happened to me: I had about 22$ in my account and since it nowhere really stated that the 25$-rule is still on I went ahead and bought something. Than on the reimbursement-site it clearly said that you need to have 25$ pending in order to get your money. So I wrote an email to the costumer service and started to bitch about the whole thing not being fair. Amazingly I got an answer within less than an hour and I had really quite a conversation with the CS. First I got a rather generic reply and than I started moaning about everything not being fair and got the 25$ answer or that I could get my remaining balance converted into points. After getting really bitchy and having to tell them my pendig check I got the promise, that they would send my check within the next paying cycle. I hope the lady didn't lie to me.
So if you still have some money left and even have a pendig check, than hurry to spend your money. Don't bother to go through the pointclick site, rather use ebates or whatever pays most. I think they will send out all the remaining checks at once. If you are not sure, send them an email and ask them. I think they are really frightend that none of us will come back to their site and therefore try to be nicer than usual.
Keep us posted about the responses you get on your questions.

I"m still waiting for my reimbursement for an august 28th purchase... can everyone who's got money back from a purchase lately post the date of the latest check received date? thanks
also, I still havent' got the thing I was trying to buy (its been on backorder, even though the website said, and continues to say, that its in stock. die onvia) so the check I sent them might not function after the 60 days or whatever, thus cancelling my order ;) any idea what would happen then?

I still love how people feel all happy and warm inside when the pointclick folks say they are going to send a check on the next cycle. HELLO! They havent sent any checks for the last two cycles. So thats pretty much saying, youre getting squat. Im not holding my breath on receiving my check. The only thing I know for sure is that point click will never receive any of my business again.

Has anybody received checks for September? I'm waiting on $150. I sent them an email and got a very vague response.

PointClick site is down as of now.
Check out the following response (dated 10/10) to my inquiry:
I still don't see any "sites that reimburse".

Your FAQ says:
Q: How long will I be able to use the money in my account toward a purchase?
A: You have up until December 31, 2000 to use the money in your account.

How do I use the money in my account toward a purchase as mentioned above?
I have around $6.35 in my account (less than the amount to issue a check by you) and it doesn't look like I have a way to increase it to $25 since your new policy changes.

Subject: Re: Using money in my account balance

Dear Member,
Thank you for contacting customer support. You may still request a reimbursement (greater or less than $25) if you spend your money in a reimbursable site. You can find those under "merchant" in the reimbursement form. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us.
Sincerely,
Aaron

I think you missed the point in my original question. I now have $6.35 in my Pointclick account. The Pointclick system now only recognizes points.
Pointclick's FAQ suggests that I "have up until December 31, 2000 to use the money in [my] account" toward a purchase. How do I use that $6.35 toward a purchase?

Your answer dated October 9th suggests that Pointclick still has cash reimbursable sites. However, after reading the "how it works" section and the reimbursement form, I don't see any mention of cash reimbursable sites.
Again, it seems that Pointclick now only deal with points. Did I miss something?

Confused
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Member,
You use your remaining balance to buy something at a reimbursable site. (If you go to the reimbursement page and click on "merchants" this will give you the sites that reimburse). I hope this will help you, if you have any more please feel free to contact us.

I have been calling the direct line to the person who handels the rebate checks. Its 1-801-772-5195. He is never at his desk, always rings to his voice mail and he has never called me back on any of my messages i have left. I doubt i will get my check that has been approved since 8-19. Pointclick is SUX.
