It boils down to this...

Man is but a spoiled chimp, spoiled by his own progress...but still a chimp nonetheless. Because man has been spoiled by his own progress, man has consumed too much. This is unfair. Unfair for those who have been unable to consume. Unfair for Mother Earth. The Consuming Man must now be stopped at all costs. Where to start? Start with the greatest consumers: Americans. Eliminate the consumers. Man survives. Man evolves from chimp to man.

Enjoy watching the 2:05 trailer for the documentary movie, "Surviving Progress."
 
Well, they'll be standing in line to see that one. As long as somebody else pays for their ticket of course.

I would suggest that liberals not be confused with progressives. The former are regular folks that you can have a conversation with and agree to disagree. The latter will put their boot on your neck and force you to their way of thinking because after all, they know best and it's for your own good.

Unsure why the OP posted this. The people who hold the beliefs described in this movie are a minute fraction of the population and this has no chance of being enacted in any western country. It's simply mental masturbation material for those who agree with this stuff and don't realize how much they'd regret it should their expressed desires ever come to pass.

We're shitting our own bed like a bacterium allowed to grow unfettered inside of a petri dish. And that's all that this planet is, in the long run -- a glorified petri dish, with a difference: We, as an intelligent species, have the power to affect the conditions inside of that glorified petri dish. But we don't. Because we cling to utterly unsustainable notions of "enlighened self-interest" and what-not.

Humanity is a collective, and a continuum. Got language? Thank the collective continuum that existed for thousands of years before you decided that you were a sustainable island unto yourself. Mathematics? Chemistry? Physics? Basic survival skills?

I grow more and more impatient with this kind of crap.

If this is the end product of humanity, a generation of entitled, mindless, first-world consumers of third-world-produced, meaningless, plastic, un-biodegradeable crap, then I'm glad to be sufficiently old that I probably won't survive to witness the ultimate crash and burn.
