What the hell is up with sports teams and the goddamn pink? NFL, MLB, etc. Everyone shows support for breast cancer awareness. These are MALE leagues, it should be support for prostate cancer.
 
I saw a cement mixer sporting pink ribbons last week. But I knew the pink ribbon campaign had lost all semblance of reason when boxes of Hamburger Helper and frozen cookie dough were bearing pink ribbons.

Male get breast cancer too.


But Breast Cancer does get a huge chunk of the cash, while the more deadly cancers get shit. Apparently it is because more people survive breast cancer and they become advocates.

I have been thinking the same thing. What started out as an effective awareness campaign (let's get all these macho guys to wear pink, stirring attention), is now sort of silly. Like why do all football players now where pink shoes for the rest of time because breast cancer exists?

not really complaining.. just think it's funny
 
Its pretty sad, because breast cancer is a legitimate cause, but has been completely exploited by the media and corporations. It's just a money maker now. The fact that few such causes exist for other illnesses to the extent that has been done with breast cancer is also highly suspect.
 
Pancreatic cancer won't have a similar ring because: 1. masses have no idea what it is 2. It a fvcking death sentence 3. It's not boobs.
