If Blizzard were ever in danger of disappearing, all they would have to do is make StarCraft II to stage a comeback.

Ever since Warcraft3 advertisements started, people were anticipating and anticipating and anticipating. When the game came out, it SUCKED (my opinion, sorry if you don't agree).

I don't think they've honestly put out a good game since the original Diablo2.

agreed, but diablo & starcraft are classics IMO with battlenet hosting in the tens of thousands of games everyday just for SC.

Unless it was another MOO3.......then they'd torch the building like angry villagers.

i liked warcraft 3, its a good lan and online game, especially since the mod community created a bunch of new maps for it (ie tower defense).

Warcraft 3 had nothing on warcraft 2 or Starcraft; however if the ficticious Starcraft 2 ever comes out I believe it has alot of potential. I; however, will not miss Blizzard, they as a company suck my big fat goat balls, someone will simply purchase the rights to their titles and continue their series.

Down with Blizzard! Up with their titles!

Diablo 1 = godly
Starcraft = godly although i didnt personally get into it, all one needs to do is look at the community and know it was awesome.

Diablo 2 = good until you beat it, i couldnt play it again after that really. i got extremely bored.
Warcraft III = coulda been a much bigger game had they balanced it in the beginning, 1.10 JUST came out and I think they finally got it right. If you own the game I'd suggest trying it now.

The only Blizzard game I really enjoy is Diablo. That and maybe Bloodthorne (or Blakethorne, or whatever it was called). SC is okay, and Diablo 2 was boooring.

I liked Warcraft III, and for all the haters out there there are plenty more who love it. Is it up there w/ Starcraft? Hmm, thats up to the individual. But it's definitely a great game. Everyone seems to hate it for fixing the stuff that people didn't like in Starcraft... getting rid of the lamer strategy.

I can't pump out the same unit only!
I can't rush!
I can't sit at my base and defend the entire game!

Waaah! waaaaah!

It's definitely not the sluggish sales. Looks like certain people didn't want to get bought out.

These 4 were from Blizzard North, which developed both Diablo and Diablo II. It is hard to say what if any effect this will have on other projects, but it is certainly bad news for the Diablo series.

The article didn't provide a whole lot of info, but this is what it sounds like:
The founding members of BLizzard - the guys that wrote the original old games that everyone loved - got fed up with corporate BS and left, all together. Now, it seems reasonable to me to think they might stay together and start up a new company that's doing things the way they want to do things, which I'm jsut assuming is more like how they used to do things at Blizzard. Maybe this is a good thing.

But Lionhead gave us Black & White. :disgust: But aren't they doing Fable for XBOX? That game will ROCK.

Bill Roper wasn't with North, was he?

IIRC he was heavily involved with StarCraft.
