The Egg Showing Some P67 Boards

Hmmm...one of those Biostar boards is the one that I purchased. Not sure if this is the B3 stepping but I would assume so. Might call them tomorrow to see if I can get the ball rolling on an exchange.

Edit: received an e-mail tonight to set up the exchange. Had 3 options (Regular RMA, Advanced RMA (credit card required), Not Interested). I chose Advanced assuming that they pat for the return shipping. If they do not, I'll do a regular RMA (they do state that they pay shipping for that one but no mention in the Advanced RMA section).

Edit #2: Advanced RMA set up, new board shipping via Next Day Air (free) and UPS return label sent. Can't beat Newegg service !

Is it safe to assume they will send an email when replacement Asus P8P67 Pros are available since that is what I bought from them? The first email said they'd send a message when they had replacements which it looks like they are getting now. From Engineer's edit it looks like they are sending notifications when your specific model is in-stock.

EDIT: I received an email on Friday 4-March saying the Asus P8P67 Pro boards were available for replacement. The Newegg website says they are deactivated but from the wording in the email they are making them available to those that bought them in chronological order of purchase date. 7 business days given to respond then it's assumed you're opting out of the replacement and they go on down the line.

ummm, how would any of us know better than you, given what you have already received re: message from Newegg? I don't think anyone on this board has secret information that Newegg plans to NOT send emails only for Asus customers.

c a t s cats cats cats!!!!!!!!!!!!

More boards are showing up on newegg. They have the p67 MSI board back in stock, but they really jacked up the price.

Are these prices higher than when they got pulled? I'll wait a month or two, they arent price gouging me.

It really pisses me off how there is a problem with the chipset. They pull it, and then re-release it with all sorts of fanfare and a hurry to get then. So they jack the prices up past what they were before they pulled them. Screw them, Ill wait.

So who are you really mad at, newegg or intel? You say "they" and "them" but the company that had the bug isn't the one who upped the price. It sounds like you're lumping them into one group which is quite ignorant. Intel had a bug, but they found it quick and allowed a quicker turnaround on the problem than expected. Newegg pulled boards immediately when they could have sold the rest of the faulty ones, but now they've set the price higher. Again... NEWEGG set their own price. It's hard to be too mad at intel, and you can't really blame the board makers for anything. They got shafted in this whole thing too.

From what I can tell, the Newegg prices are what they were before. There were a few discounts (rebates, $10 price drop, etc) that are not showing up right now but the prices are about what they were (pre-rebate/discount) that they were before.

yes they are with no perks such as free shipping, rebates, free stuff. Demand is high. Give it a couple weeks. Though they prob wont change much maybe $10 off here n there or free shipping.

lol i swear i didnt copy this.

I'm fighting hard to not buy one of the boards up now. I really was locked in to a asrock extreme 4.

Just like pre-SB where I was amazed that some dude was shelling out for a 760 because he couldnt wait 2 weeks......JUST WAIT

The ASRock Extreme 4 I am using as we speak is a nice board. I just got an email from Newegg saying they are just starting to get some units (of the ASR Ext4).

I think its literally a matter of days, or maybe a week or so, until you'll see ASRock and others back up on Newegg.

If you've got your heart set on it, you'll feel like an idiot when you buy a BIOSTAR and then see your first choice up on Newegg by the time you receive the Biostar.

Patience grasshopper

*sigh* I know. And they've come back faster than I thought, so I'll still be able to build sooner than expected. I'm just getting anxious because the rest of the tax return was deposited today. I don't even have a monitor yet either.

got my gd65 + 2500k last night at around 7pm central... the ram i ordered is sold out too, lol.
been waiting so long, finally its about to pay off.

hopefully they ship and i'll recieve today since newegg is basically down the FRIGGIN STREET from me. danggg.. cant even go and pick my stuff up... i think they offer a hand delivered option for locals, but i was in such a rush to grab the board before it got sold out. guess i'll suffice for a monday delivery if need be. :\

msi was ahead of the game before everyone else from the get go.

MSI is going to make some cash by being early back to the market. And the P67A is actually a decent board.
