I agree with ya labrat. This is a horrible place. The blistering summer sun will burn your skin off, the low humidity will dry your carcass to near mummy-state, we have major 10+ earthquakes every time a tourist decides to move here.

we have some of the best seasons in the country. summers that rarely break 85 degrees during the day, comfortable summer evenings. I'm pretty sure some areas of virginia got more snow then parts of colorado this year.

and.. i hate to say, we don't have to convince ourselves of anything, we have a great state.

and, a lot of people could care less about the beach. i lived on an island near charleston for quite a while and having a beach really isn't that impressive.
