I was wondering what product is out there that will give a laptop the capability to display on a tv?? S-Video would be nice, but component may be ok too. Any information would be helpful. Thankyou :)

PS: The lappy is a Gateway MX6425

If your video card supports it(I'm not sure), an adapter like the one below is the easiest and cheapest way

http://www.computercasesandcables.com/ccc/CV-25120.html

If not, then you'll need a converter. This will be pretty much certain to work; but more expensive.

Note: Links are to representative products of the correct type. They may or may not be the best deals and may or may not be from merchants with acceptable customer service. They should, however serve as a basis for further search if desired.

Hi, thanks for the link but that will allow me to watch tv on the lappy, but not hook the lappy to the tv itself. Right?

Also, this lappy uses onboard ATI Xpress200 Video, so, technically, it should have built in tv out capabilitys right? So, I should just need the cabling that will convert the VGA port to a TV-Out port?? Anyone know if that solution will work or not?

The #1 easiest way to make one of these work is to use a VGA-DVI converter. Hopefully, your TV supports analog-thru-DVI connections.
