Glad I ordered from Buy.com (w/ $15 off of $200 coupon). Even with tax and shipping, still came out cheaper than Newegg.com before tax and shipping. I really like Newegg but they sure do gauge customers when a new product is released.

That might be so but Newegg is still pretty much king amongst e-tailers.

Great! Thanks for the links. Not that I'd buy them at those prices, but at least I can bookmark them :)

Sure, no problem...They came up last night.

Being that these are chips that a lot of people were looking forward to and that Newegg is the preferred e-tailer for ATers...

I feel special that I was the one that brought it to the attention of you all....

Supplies are sure going fast. Just check BLT and Sparco and the E4400 I ordered is already out of stock. Mine is arriving Monday by Fedex so I'm glad I ordered ahead.

Why would you HAVE to RMA a CPU? lol. I can't think of the last time a CPU was bad. It's not like it has moving parts like a hard drive. You guys are unreal... :shakes head:

And I wasn't even suggesting buying it somewhere else, I was just saying I'll wait until NewEgg's prices hit reality.

Never, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen. What if one of the pins was broken? I don't know. It's worth the peace of mind to me to buy from a familiar vendor for a few bucks more.

Man, I've been waiting for the E6420 for a while. Too bad the price cuts haven't kicked in on Newegg yet, but come April 22 that should change (hopefully). Now I just have to wait till the DFI Infinity P965-S is in stock. Both of those together should make a killer rig. :D

What if one of the pins was broken on a LGA chip? Then you'd definitely have a problem.

But I see what you're saying and I agree. I pay a bit more to shop at the Egg because they've always treated me the way they should.

That's not nice Newegg...:(

Knowing them anyway, they are probably getting in new stock or readjusting their prices...:D
