Anybody can learn. I'm completely self taught. Been playing on and off for over 20 yrs. If the internet existed back in 1980 when I first picked up a guitar, I would of been able to learn what I did in a fraction of the time. With all the resources that are available online anyone can master the guitar relatively quickly if they have the desire to do so.

I'm saving up my money for a custom Fender guitar.
I know prettymuch what I want in it.
7 string with a modified verson of the strat headstock to accomodate anothe tuning knob.
Wide-thinner neck (cant remember the measurements/name off the top of my head) for easier playability and 22 or 24 medium frets.
Double Cutaway body, with something like an Alder body and a set neck.
2 tone, 1 volume control, a 5-way toggle. A tune-o-matic bridge.
EMG 707 humbuckers (bridge/neck).
Still unsure of what kind of wood for the neck and fingerboard. Not sure what is good in that area.
And some other minor details.
I probably wont' be able to purchase this for a couple years, but It'll be awesome when I do.

Yeah....I like the top. That's quilted right? I want something like that, but in a darker blue in my next guitar purchase a couple posts up. (I have about 2,300 saved up for it already)... ^^^^
