the dream where somebodies standing behind your bed watching you sleep

I have had this dream a few times this year. Dreams don't tend to ever really effect me, except this one. Does anyone else have the dream where there's somebody standing behind you watching you sleep, and when you wake up, you know it was a dream, and nobodies there. But you still can't move.

I get it from time to time, and yeah, it sucks.

A friend of mine says you can use it as a stepping stone for out-of-body experiences, but it just terrifies me when I find I can't move. Interesting stuff.

Yes I have that dream. Cept it never feels like someones on the edge of the bed. Usually it feels like someones in my room and then I wake up and I'm in my room but I still can't move.

The worst dream I ever had was a dream someone was choking me. And then I woke up and it was my shirt that was choking me because I had moved a certain way and it had tightened around my neck. I had just gone to bed with my school outfit on in the afternoon because I was feeling really crappy.

Actually last night, had a dream about going to a wedding, and "forgetting" to get dressed. Right when I was about to get out of the limo, I noticed I only had underwear on. Quickly ran out, and saw some quarters on the ground. Decided I'd try to bowl a little bit, and earn money for clothing that way. Then I woke up

Yes, I've had that dream. My variant of it is that I sense somebody is in my room -- a burgler perhaps and I try to stay motionless and pretend I'm sleeping so he wouldn't know that I was awake. But as I stay motionless, I am trying to listen intently to know where he is and what he is doing. Meanwhile, I am really just asleep and dreaming of the whole thing -- or maybe drifting in and out of sleep -- I am never really sure.

Actually you can!

Happened to me once. And my bed is jammed in the corner. It felt as if a black figure was pulling me into the walls. It's hard to explain but the brain is weird anyways.

So yup, this "dude" was technically standing outside at the time but I didn't care because it scared the SH!T out of me and I couldn't do anything, but "he" sure had no trouble pulling me into/through the wall (not literally of course, this is how it felt, I was 110% convinced at the time).
