I don't read Dutch, but there is enough to understand the point...recruiting....calculations of TA passing /. in 55 days and the required output for the DPC to pass the /. in 55 days....

i wish i could help you guys...i was running rc5 for the past couple of days but i guess that my comp can't handle it for the meantime cuz my cpu was going over 50 degrees celcius. guess i gotta wait til i get my alpha...anyone got an extra for socket370 cpu? i got my cpu up to a gig but heat shut it down.
 
Just a lil' rule o' thumb : if rc5 (or any distrocomp project) overheats your cpu, then you ALREADY have a heat problem. How can you play 3d games, render scenes or compress video anyway if your system does'nt handle heavy cpu usage ?

TA is still 44.507.508 wu's away behind /.
TA did 813.492 wu's more than /. yesterday
TA will overatke /. in ± 55 dagen.

DPC in still 133.527.877 wu's behind TA.
So we will have to do 2.427.780 wu's more than TA for 55 days.

Which means that yesterday, for example, we should have flushed about 3.795.304 wu's... That's the amount we did during MegaFlush 6... with other words, we will never succeed in that.

However, we now have a more realistic goal, which is overtaking you before Xmas, which demands that we do 1.296.387 wu's more than you than you.

Regarding the DPC's helping /.: This reminds me of something I did when TMR was about to reach the top 100 on Mika's fullstats. TMR had the blocks to do it, but dumping them was another problem. So I started to pump blocks into two inactive members sitting at #99 and #100, which held back a few members at #101-104 from reaching #100 until TMR could. Was I cruel and mean? Yes, 😉 but I was getting bored of RC5 and wanted to do something completely unique with my output.

Now the question is, would DPC do something like this? Possibly, but I doubt they are bored with RC5 and would want to give up over 500K blocks a day to do it. All it comes down to is that TA needs more RC5 output (more members), because DPC WILL become #1 in RC5 at their current rate.

Oh well, enough rambling for this morning. 🙂

DPC's cracking for /. just to keep us from catching them is one of the most unsportsmanlike ideas ive ever heard, thats like tripping the guy your racing with just so you can catch up to him, very un-respectful, if the DPC's as a whole actualy decide to do something like this, I would lose a LOT of respect for them, Not to mention I'd Get Pissed.

Just wait till I dump my blocks that I've been saving up for almost 1 month. Almost 5k blocks. that should get me around .4% of one days output of TA

viztech, the little monster in my computer told me to do it. If I didn't, it was going to magically turn my C300@463 into an evil 286 locked at 8MHz (no 10MHz for me). I couldn't let that happen. 😉 On the bright side, TA had two more active members for the day..... (Eww Eww! Quit tossing fresh cow pies at me) 😉

A lot of DPC-members saved their blocks and flush them after MF6. I believe we are still seeing a daily output that is higher than the actual rate, because of this. I am curious what my team really does crack on a daily basis... I guess it will take a few weeks until both our teams will know...

PS> Does anyone of you people know what happens if I flush wu's of 2^33 keys to my PerProxy? Does the proxy calculate the equivalent in wu's of 2^28 keys or does it display the number of actual wu's received? I'm confused because my stats-analyzer says I keep 8000 wu's in the proxy while the proxy itself only displays 3000 wu's...
