So? Not only do you end up with overtime pay, but you also (usually) end up with an easy day at work AND they "owe you". Which means when you want a day off you can go right to them. And if they say no, you dont have to worry about covering Superbowl for them ever again.
And in our case, we can bring out the TV and watch the game anyways.

I'll be at work from 1-8, but what do I care? I get to make mad cash because I'm in one of those rare professions that gets paid more on superbowl :p

Hey if you don't mind the extra work and get paid OT for it, then why not. Instead of spending money you're actually making some. And they owe you a favour to boot.

Went in for OT today at work, spend 4hrs, only took a measly 25 calls, and got paid $75 for it. Half the work load for a day's pay. Doing same thing tomorrow.

All of this is VERY VERY true!

We can watch it at work as well, if we want to, which I don't.

What we CAN'T do is sit around getting plastered, which is what he REALLY wants to do anyway! ;)

i love sports so much. even baseball sometimes.

i figure i was 73.4% bitchier all winter due to lack of NHL hockey.
