I heard from someone that lopri had the exact same chip, and he did 2.8 GHz on stock vcore, and 3.0 GHz on 1.48V vcore 😀.

Please confirm while I splooge 😀.

EDIT: I just got confirmation of the next shipment. My motherboard and everything except the RAM will arrive Saturday 10.00 AM (GMT+1). I will overclock with 1 stick of 512 MB PC2700 RAM, so ultimate results may or may not be skewed. Thank you.

EDIT no 2: okay, it's now 6:50 here, and I'm wide awake. I must have my other components, now! (*goes insane*)

EDIT 3: Goddamn! I just read the page of my packet, and it said that the delivery was attempted, but I wasn't at home. Lazy motherfuc[/i]kers. I'm going to have to wait until Monday/Tuesday.

Oh, sorry about that..

So, the Opteron-overclocking dealer/expert thinks I have a good one? Really, Lopri? What do you think it'll get? 2.8? 3.0? I only have stock cooling though 🙁. On the bright side, I do have Arctic Silver 5 😀.
 
Nice, and I hope for your sake with all this pre-excitement, you can get it to 2.8 at the very least.
