The douchiest hipster item I've ever seen...

That's kind of practical if you need reading glasses. For occasional use it's easier holding up a single lens rather than dick around with full frames. My eyes have gone to hell over the last year or so, and I have to take my glasses off to see close now. It's a PITA to screw with the frames, but I won' get bifocals until it's absolutely necessary :^/

I've never seen anyone use a monocle in real life.

tbh, it only works if you got a mustache that can complement it. not many people can get a cool stache like this

Me neither. If I didn't wear regular glasses I'd probably get one for seeing close. I can read books, and see medium-large type, but something like the date on a coin I have trouble with. That kind of range I only use for brief periods, so holding up a single lens, and dropping it in my pocket when finished would be convenient.

Looking through their pages, that looks like an interesting company. You can order frames to try, so you aren't stuck with something that looks bad. Some of their frames are pretty ugly; good takes on the old military birth control glasses, but I see some I'd potentially wear. The prices are pretty decent. Chinese made, but I guess it's hard to get away from that :^/

They also have a feature called 'Virtual Try-On' where you can upload a photo to kind of get an idea how they would look. IDK if it's unique to this company, but pretty cool.
