You've obviously never heard of the likes of Death Row Records and Suge Knight.

Oh please - these people aren't even players in the current music industry. I think the point he is trying to make is that a hip hop and rap music is largely funded and backed by corporate culture, in an attempt to capitalize on the musical tastes of young, middle class white kids.

Speaking of double standards, I know this is off topic, but why does nobody challenge the pedestal the Duke Lacrosse Team is being put on? I feel bad for the kids, but I honestly feel that white America is giving this story more air time than it ever deserved - almost as a backlash to the demoted status of the white male. Had the woman been poor and white, and the players black, I honestly believe this story would never have been sensationalized the way it has. In fact - I doubt it would have become a national news story.

They are trying to make up for the fact that they condemned these guys as guilty right from the start and were airing constant reports on the abuses of the upper middle class white guy entitlement crowd. They were portrayed for months as these privileged knuckle dragging racist jocks. I think the media owes them a little airtime as an apology.

Frankly, I don't get the duh-versions from the Imus issue. Obviously this is about Imus and what he said and his ongoing explanations. Seems like the right is just flailing around trying to use this opportunity to strike against their perceived enemies at the NAACP, Sharpton, Jackson, etc.

I'll cease being angry when the black community rises up and DEMANDS that black rappers who demean blacks be fired from their record contracts and boycotts all their recordings, just as they demand that Imus be fired for doing far, far, FAR less. Until the black community demonstrates it isn't just a gang of hypocrites, I have absolutely no sympathy at the "outraged" response to Imus's two-second sound bite.

The double standard I'm more concerned about is the fact that so many of these Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons have gone on record saying horribly bigoted things against other minorities (and majority) yet they and others still pretend they have some credibility.

That has got to be the biggest crock of shiat ever. "I can do it cause i'm a suppa fly gangsta, you can't cause you are an old ass white man"

Thats downright offensive, but i really don't care snoop will take himself down, he is already banned from London.

Thats just plain stupid, people really still ask his opinion on stuff?

Oh I bet she won't, it won't play up to the issue she uses as a club when she needs one. It won't invoke the sympathy she wants since its white guys being vindicated.

Look, a Rutgers no season was cancelled, no coach was fired, and no one was brought up on charges by overzealous DAs, let alone slandered by the media and professors of their own school.

The Duke controversy flew into overdrive because of the race warlords, specifically Jackson who said he would pay for the "victim's" college should her allegations prove true then went so far as to claim he would pay for them even if they were not true!!! Just read his race and religious baiting crap in his own WORDS

I wonder if the Rutger's players will sue too? Who bets that if they do they win more money than the kids at Duke who truly were the victims of racial hatred.

Ha, you read that this morning to.

Umm, and if people keep making the past an issue, such as you just did, it will continue to be a problem, the best way to move past that, is to move past it yourself.

Thanks for that link.

In it Jackson attacks the Duke players more then once for not making any statements and staying silent after talking with their lawyer. "Right to remain silent..."

I never really had an opinion on Sharpton and Jackson before this Duke incident and the Imus situation.

Oh that, and the girl who made the false claim got her tuition PAID for my Jackson i do believe.

If the damn ****** word is such a big deal, then the supreme court should declare it "unspeakable" and have it removed for both sides. Nobody should be able to say these "racist" words, black or white!

And I thought the Imus thing was sort of funny, but since he is white, big no-no there.

Only blacks can say certain things.

Question is, How in the world does the Minority tell the Majority what to do?

This got out of hand a while ago! Whites really need to get their act together.

And Sharpton / Jackson need to visit every public school and club in america to apologize to the thousands of wihte kids that get "jumped" by 20 blacks on a daily basis.

Where the ****** is jackson / sharpton when these crimes occur? Why can someone find a good reason to put those 2 in jail? Duke University FAKE claims? There's got to be something....

How in reality is Al Sharpton any different from Osama bin Laden.

fixed. And good question. Sharptongue is a bigot himself. A lousy newsworthiless story-chasing bigot. Half the crap he said to Imus was irrelevant, insincere, and completely off topic. If it was typed here in the forums we would of called it trolling.

Wrong. If the rolls were reversed as you described, the two "Rev's" would have been having one press conference after another denouncing the unfair treatment of the players . That they were innocent until proven guilty. Then, after it turned out the way it did, they would have called the DA a racist for prosecuting with as little evidence as they had, and would have been leading the charge to sue everyone in sight.

The idea is that blacks will have to do this cleanup because no white person would be allowed to suggest, let alone try and do it. Any such attempt would be branded bigoted (if not racist from the idiots who don't know what the word means but think its use ends debate on the subject).

This means getting it off black-centric stations, both TV and Radio. If the black "community" cannot do that then they are never going to get out from under the hatred that celebrities who happen to share the same skin color promote on a daily basis.

This is all bullcrap and it continues to divide everybody.

What I love is how everybody in the news continues to talk about this stupid case, and worse, it that ALL OF THEM AGREE that what was done is the right thing, mainly because everybody is afraid to say anything negative about blacks.

Even Mr big mouth Glen Beck cannot touch the subject. He is very happy throwing the word Mexican or Illegal and Even MUSLIM around, but HE WILL NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT BLACKS. Every damn news channel continues to condemn IMUS while praising that IDIOT Sharpton.

Come on Glen Beck, I dare you to mess with those rappers and their Hoe's (however that spells)

Once again, people fail to look beyond the artists. Big record companies make the most money out of bitches and hos and whatever else is thrown on to a hip hop track. However, they hold 0 accountability.

People listen to garbage on the radio and mtv, etc. b/c it's played on rotation 24/7. Without that outlet, the garbage is not heard.

If you don't want to hear the crap, turn the f'ing radio off.

I, honestly, hope this becomes a big deal. I would really enjoy seeing the poison that's spit and portrayed on to the unfortunate communities turned off.

What was that report last week where 50% of the brothers spend less than 40% of their working lives actually employed. Nobody crapped on the researcher for being racist. Imus was just the release of pent up self-evaluation within the black community. Attack on the rap artists is the sell out of the black community to appease the backlash they got over this whole Imus firing nonsense. Ever since the latinoes increased in numbers the rainbow coalition has become something of a has-been movement and they really needed the publicity surrounding the Imus affair to make them relevant in American culture once again.

I'am suprised that someone of IMUS age would use such a language. I walk to many different area and I find that the racist one tend to be young males. If you walk to a neighborhood of mostly a certain race and your not of that race, most likely you will get racist comments. I walk around minding my own business and I get call racist comments, I just walk past it.
America has always been racist because it has so many races.
