The Donald pulls out of the GOP debate

The needle on my 'give-a-crap meter' never moved.

We've got plenty of debates. This isn't the first one that's been canceled and won't be the last one.

Would you give a crap if Trump ran as an independent? With his personal wealth, I think he could siphon enough votes away from the GOP candidate, particularly if it's Romney, to deliver the election to Obama.

Yeah, I would worry.

Agreed, I think any 3rd party Repub type candidate would siphon enough votes to ensure Obama the election. Likewise a problem for Obama if the 3rd party were a liberal.

Hmmm.. Just had a thought. I wonder if the Repub establishment types fought Trump's debate because they couldn't get a promise from him not to run as an independent. The RNC Chair opposed it because Trump mentioned the possibility of a run.

I think that is an astute observation. It's exactly what I was thinking after reading the article. And that is what I found significant about him pulling out of the debate - he chose to do that rather than commit to not running. The debate doesn't matter much in and of itself. His intentions for next year certainly do.

I also wonder about Ron Paul as another possible third party candidate. Last time IIRC he was just a write in candidate, on the ballot only in certain states. If he decides to make a more serious run of it, it is another potential problem for the GOP candidate.

Don't like the wheels falling off the GOP cart? :'(

I fucking love it. 😀

keep your partisan blinds on and keep pulling that partisan bandwagon while the country falls apart.

i wish you (and others here) could apply your zeal and initiative to looking further, past the partisan fight.

the only cart falling apart is our own, the wheels of liberty and freedom coming ajar due to psychological manipulation, made possible through your ego and identifying yourself with a certain party.

Oh, bullshit... That you have such a lacking line-up of GOP front-runners becomes this little "look further, past the partisan fight.."

It's okay - The Donald's hair piece still plans to attend: to seek the tribble vote....
😀 Made me laugh out loud.

This is a setback not just for the Donald, but for poofy-haired people everywhere.

This line of attack also makes me laugh, considering that Democrats just got elected a man who had literally no accomplishments since college (which proved his divine right to lead - he couldn't actually let his record be examined, but take his word for it) beyond an ability to sonorously read a TelePrompter and a totally unimpressive year in the Senate - and even that he had to get by unleashing lawyers and journalists to unseal and sensationalize both his primary and his general election opponents' divorce records. No executive experience, no private sector experience, no particular accomplishments in state or federal Senate. Nothing. Zip. Nada. A product of the Chicago Democrat Party machine, with no other qualifications.

There are no Republicans running without vastly better credentials than had Obama in 2008.

Paul is the true GOP frontrunner, not the other clowns. The media who censor and black-out his campaign are in cahoots with the same people who want to propagate the whole partisan fight to distract americans from ever solving the true issues plaguing this country.

we need to look past whether people have (R) or (D) after their names and listen to both sides.

btw, im sure that just because i 'picked' on one of the biggest left wing hacks on this forum places a big fat (R) after my name. Spikesoldier (R). drop the partisan blinds. im willing to listen to you liberals and your ideas, and have the courage not to discount them based on their affiliation.

vote based on the qualities of the individual, not the letter following their name.

Nah, I was already ahead of you on that... Ron Paul has brought/sought government money into his district over many years - yet - he's the guy to change it all...
