I think Ausm has a man crush on The Donald. He talks about him far more than is socially acceptable.

Nah, I was already ahead of you on that... Ron Paul has brought/sought government money into his district over many years - yet - he's the guy to change it all...

May I ask your opinion out of who is running, who is the guy to change it all?

It certainly isn't trump, we all know that.

edit: I would also like to know your opinion of what a politician's job is. If it isn't bringing awareness to the federal level of "the people who elected me in my district needs ____ and its going to cost this much and have this benefit" , then what does a representative do? cast a buyable vote in the house, be a career politician and get penis sucked all day?

Yeah, I would worry.

Agreed, I think any 3rd party Repub type candidate would siphon enough votes to ensure Obama the election. Likewise a problem for Obama if the 3rd party were a liberal.

Hmmm.. Just had a thought. I wonder if the Repub establishment types fought Trump's debate because they couldn't get a promise from him not to run as an independent. The RNC Chair opposed it because Trump mentioned the possibility of a run.

Trump is not a threat to anyone. He's a complete lightweight and would be quickly exposed in a debate as a candidate and probably even as a moderator.

I think its great :)
I hate Trump and it also makes Newt look bad for accepting it, and I hate Newt too.

Any conservative in his/her right mind would hate newt. But it seems alot of dems are voting for newt in the polls.

keep your partisan blinds on and keep pulling that partisan bandwagon while the country falls apart.

i wish you (and others here) could apply your zeal and initiative to looking further, past the partisan fight.

the only cart falling apart is our own, the wheels of liberty and freedom coming ajar due to psychological manipulation, made possible through your ego and identifying yourself with a certain party.

We on the Left are trying to do something about the partisanship, the Right won't listen when we tell you that Fox News is a propaganda network. The disassociation of the Right from any objective source of information is problematic, but y'all are fed false information as to that fact and so cannot get out of the circular reasoning.

Just curious...when you say "we", who are you including? It obviously is not Obama, Pelosi, or all the other dems who literally changed the locks on the doors in Congress to keep the reps out.

So since it cannot be any of them, who do you mean?

The needle on my 'give-a-crap meter' never moved.

We've got plenty of debates. This isn't the first one that's been canceled and won't be the last one.

Fern

That's interesting because it is plastered all over Fox news. ;)

I wonder if in the future candidates will stop agreeing to do debates all together?

Campaigning is easier if you don't have to show the voters that you're an idiot.
