Zero has one, he'll be visiting this thread shortly I bet 🙂 Actually looks a lot like yours.

I *hate* Neons, and say that as a former owner.

That said, it's very hard to beat the price/performance of the SRT-4, unless you build something used (C4 + mods = cheap monster).

Nice car regardless.

Cheers.

My brother has one (that I did a bit of work on as well). Its the blue one.

Mods:
Turbonetics 50 trim turbo (T3/T4 Hybrid)
Different BOV.. don't remember brand
750cc injectors
SAFCII Injection control system
3" downpipe (no cat), 3 inch exhaust ~3/4 to rear
Electronic Boost controller
Large FMIC (over double the height of the stock one)
Lowered by 1 1/2 inches front and rear (not sure which company)
Wideband O2 sensor

I think thats it. This car is so damn fun.

Heres a video of our local neon club 😛

I guess so 🙂 If I had a tweaked SRT-4, well I'd probably post about it as well 😀 Though I might be just as likely to sell it and buy something else. I hope you don't take offense. I bet the SRT is a MILLION times better than the regular Neons. It's just that I got burned so bad with that car.

Honestly if I had more money I wouldn't have gotten the srt-4, I would have gotten the Evo or something nicer but I had to settle for the neon. It's definitely not a car for everyone. All it comes down to is cheap speed. Some people want something different in their car. I just wanted the fastest (new) car for the lowest price. That's exactly what it is.

I have an 2003 SRT-4 that I use for track duty (road course).

123K miles.

BC Inverted coilovers (12kg/mm front, 10kg/mm rear)
Hotchkis front and rear sway bars
Hawk HP+ brake pads
OEM wheels and tires for street, random 17x7s that came with the car when I bought it + Bridgestone RE-01Rs (225) for the track.

Fun car to work on and drive, though it needed some major handling help in its stock form. The back section of Sears Point was downright scary on the stock springs.

Next season I'll probably swap in slicks once the RE-01Rs wear out, but I'll need to replace the hubs first.

Nice helpme. I plan to start auto crossing my srt-4 next year. But I've been so broke lately I havent really prepped the car for that. I need some nice light wheels and some good tires, a damn helmet, and lessons hah.

AdamSnow has one but I'm not sure how much he visits the forum anymore. I've been for a cruise in it and it was a really fast car.

Fast and very inexpensive. YOu can pick up a tastefully modded srt for next to nothing. Nice car and easy to work on/mod. Stock I think they run mid-high 13's. Easy and pretty cheap to get them into the low 12s, get some slicks!

Wider wheels are definitely a must since even for stock power/handling, the 6" wide wheels suck. Obviously lighter is great too. Getting some better sways help a lot with this car. I don't know about other people but getting some solid motor mounts help when exiting those turns while accelerating since they help with wheelhop and obviously coilovers.

If you're thinking about competing in the D stock class (class the SRT-4 is in), you may not want to bother buying new wheels as you can't change the width. Sucks since we have 6" wide wheels and no stock camber 🙁
