How about you look in a mirror and says " You are a moron" because i based my assumption off the many replies that said"what are dickie pants" or" i didnt even know they existed till now" but your opinion is welcome since it adds another count to my post no matter how unimportant you are. Thx :) Plus this is about kids wearing them not construction workers? yeah..

Dickies are for work, but some skater dude wore them years ago and then everyone started following him. It became a trend after a few years and now they sell them at places like Pacsun for more than what they are really worth. Just think, some skater dude who just wanted to get rugged pants that don't rip and cost little money started some prtty big trend. They are uncomfy, they are ugly, buy hey, everyone wears them, so lets join in.

Ofcourse, the above story is somewhat of a myth;)

I wore them years ago when I was in the 6th grade. Back then, Raytheon gave their employees discounts on clothes (yes, Raython use to treat ther emplyees good), so my dad stocked up on navy blue painter paints and got some for me. Those pants are so stiff, but they do not rip easily.....

Sig worthy :D

How long do Dickies last as opposed to jeans? I was looking at them for work, but they're so thin that I didn't want to risk it.

I have a few pairs of the dbl kneed work pants for when we have to do token ring work in glass factories. If you actually buy them in the right size they are pretty comfy, they never rip and the cell phone pocket is handy.

For a mechanic, they have the advantage of not getting holes in them when splattered with battery acid.

Jeans will be full of holes in no time.

Nothing is more satisfying than spilling some water on a new pair of dickies and watching it roll right off. :) I wear a dickies jacket in the winter. It's pretty warm and you can get an extra liner to put into it to make it even more toasty. Got it at a store called Ralph's Army Surplus. Awesome place.
