The Derek Chauvin / George Floyd Trial

Thought we needed a thread. This trial will probably go on for some time, several weeks. CNN is covering the trial live and so is MSNBC but Fox is consumed with the riots that Fox hopes, and let’s be honest Fox will be jubilant should there be riots, but Fox is consumed with the riots they expect to take place. Fox just can’t wait to turn this into a divisive black vs white issue. Fox does not care about justice, Fox only cares about making this a black lives matters thing so Fox can pounce.
 
Ps. And this makes me sick. Yesterday, spending time with my Trumpie family, Floyd is the guilty one. Out of their mouths, Floyd was a druggie, Floyd spent time in prison, Floyd attacked the cops, and Floyd caused his own death. Then after listening to their bullshit I was told that 4 more in my Trumpie family have tested positive last week for Covid. Family get togethers.... someone shoot me. 😳

I have a feeling that this could be bigger, or at least as big as the OJ trial.

Though the result, will more than likely be more like Rodney King. An acquittal, followed by a riot.

The comment section on Fox News is basically parroting all of those ideas.
 
Video of incident is sickening to watch. The uniforms may skew perception, but does it really matter if they wore uniforms of police or astronauts or eskimos? What I witnessed was a cold blooded murder by three people. Take away the uniform and assumption of professionalism, what you are left with is and was cold blooded murder. I rest my case....

The video pretty much speaks for itself, should be a slam dunk murder conviction. But cops are allowed to kill at will in this nation, so I'm not at all confident justice will be done.

Attorneys are not doctors. I can say the words "I can't breathe" without inhaling. Breathing can be restricted enough where it takes longer to suffocate

There are many who appear to be eager to use the force of govt as a political weapon, that's for sure. This case is proof of that. While any sane person with at least one passably good eye could clearly see that Floyd had stopped resisting arrest long before 8 minutes.
I used to wish that I could somehow make those people understand that the govt they wish to inflict on others could just as easily be inflicted on them, but then I finally realized that that's their motivation.

I always appreciate how Greenman is so intentionally and yet so casually callous to the plight people he doesn't identify with. The way he is actively apathetic. He's quite the sociopath.
