Here they are:
Grew up poor or just not rich. Went to college. Picked a major that would actually produce a decent career. Didn't rack up huge student loan debt (actually worked full time + while getting an education). Worked a good 20 to 25 years before getting to a good financial place. Lived a frugal live (no big screen tv's and idevices when they couldn't afford them). Finally made the spot in the company that would afford them the lifestyle they spent so long working for.
Only to have the group that did the opposite (ran up huge college loans for a degree that is worthless while partying heavily and living life to it's fullest) call them greedy bastards for just wanting to be left alone.
These are not 1 percenters or even remotely rich ($75K/year or higher). They never got to take there kids to big expensive vacations or lavish themselves with "STUFF".
They are the ones loosing their nice health care plans, having to more due to high property taxes in order to pay for their kids to go to college. they usually don't have a new care every couple of years. Some feel very proud to get 150K to 200K miles out of one vehicle.
What does our society call these people? Try "Racist" "Greedy" "Selfish" and worse.
Get rid of the BS classes and teach only SKILLS, not the leftist crap.
Yes. Get rid of the classes that will make people good citizens. We don't need people that can think for themselves, just mindless automatons. Not surprising the new P&N tool thinks of those humanities classes as 'leftist crap'.
They call them republicans, because liberals cannot grasp the concept of hard work. I busted my ass to afford a used car with 120K miles on it, and yet my tax dollars still go to people who SIT on their ass to buy a new Cadillac.
My nephew is from India. When he was young he dreamed of going to California so he studied hard and became a software engineer. He is expert in a business software package and always finds jobs where he can code it to meet a businesses need. He is busy after work with a child and one on the way as he runs a business he just started in India. He wants his family to have a better life and wants to work fully for himself. He doesn't think about how others are stealing from him and what shit life is. He has an aim and loads and loads of self confidence.
I never met anybody in trouble who went straight ahead. A saying
The problem with this is you blame the person and this would be true if there weren't 1/5th the country on food stamps or 100 million "not in the labor force" etc.
If there are say 5 million on food stamps out of 300 million its a personal problem, if there are like 45million or whatever it is on food stamps its an institutional problem. If all those people tried to look for a job guess what? There aren't enough.
ANOTHER stimulus package? Yeah, because all the others ones really worked...I believe the answer to problems does not lie in complaining about them. This is yelling at clouds. I think we need a stimulus package but many of the whiners will vote against it. Fuck he who fucks himself.
Yeah, the people who have done the right thing, work hard, live within your means, take care of your family, get screwed over by the people who are careless with their lives.

Look at it this way, no one likes a mooch, right? Everyone KNOWS the "mooch" could get a job or pay with his/her own money, yet chose not too. Why? It's easier. They can just kick back with their SNAP cards and wait for a check in the mail while their neighbors are the one's really paying for it. Now tell me, would you mind paying for someone elses family to live and get food while they can simply get off the couch and stop playing Xbox for a minute and get a job?
Providing positive reinforcement for a behavior will create more of that behavior. As a society we reward those who want society to provide for them and punish those who try to provide for themselves.
You mean like those proposals to means-test Social Security? So because I live a more frugal life and put a good chunk of my income away into an IRA, I could get less SS than someone who spent it all now and retired with almost no savings?
Yes. You won't hurt rich people with these socialist policies, you just make it harder for poor people to stop being poor.
People who are already rich don't care, you just end up penalizing people who are still trying to climb the ladder.

Could you please provide some examples of "society" calling these people racist, greedy, selfish, and/or worse? What exact income range are you referring to?
