The debate was very civil

I would have liked to ask:
Why do you think it is that the majority of Americans believe that Iraq was linked to 9/11 and has that misperception been exploited?

I thought about half the questions were good - usually those with context included prior to the question. The other half were loaded or sucked. You could clearly tell which of the people did their homework.

I would have asked Kerry why he misses so many opportunities to vote.

Simple. When the votes are 94-2, your vote is worth nothing. Just like you have no impact in the election if you live in MA or TX. Now if the vote is much closer, you have a point.

"This question is for President Bush ... There are eight balls, one of which is slightly heavier than the others. You have a scale that you can use for weighing, but you are only allowed to use it twice. How do you find the heavier ball?"

I think the unadulterated answer from a Bush supporter would shock a non Bush supporter when they find out that it has nothing to do with what the RBH assert.

This is a critical flaw in the administration of the Kerry campaign. Kerry has no idea what his opposition believes and why they believe it, therefore, he is unable to sway them....

Are 70% of the votes decided by that big of a majority?

A majority of them are. It is said that the majority of bills are only proposed if they are sure to pass. Then you have those bills that people know won't pass but just put them up to vote for later attack ads. Removing the words Under God from the pledge for example. There are very few votes where it is decided by even a margin of 5 or 10. In cases like that votes will be held open for several hours till the No-Votes come and put in a vote. Trust me, if Kerry's vote would've made a difference he would've voted.

I could only describe it to a college class where attendance is not required but the professor just constantly lectures about things you will read eventually. Of course you might think you don't need to show up most of the time but let there be an exam or something important and you sure as hell show up.

So we're paying him to campaign? I need to get into politics.

Bush: who should be held accountable for the travesties took place in Abu Ghraib and are currently taking place in Guantanamo Bay?

Kerry: how much crack did you smoke when you decided that wind surfing was a good photo op?

Bush: If I were on something I'd be a Kerry following zombie like you. See most recreational drugs make you at ease not nervous. But I guess your Canadian drug buying ass wouldn't know that.

From what I have seen on C-Span, It's about 70 - * . It is probably divided on certain issues, but for most things, it's just passed with no thought.

Interesting, so it's likely he was on something heavy- not some "recreational drug"?

Your question to Kerry about the abortion issue:

How would you have put it to him?
I really thought Bush had an opportunity to nail him, but went easy to avoid alienating the other side on the issue. I would have phrased it something like this:

Senator Kerry, the Catholic Church, in its Catechism, states the following: "Formal cooperation in an abortion constitutes a grave offense... The inalienable rights of the person must be recognized and respected by civil society and the political authority." That said, how can you claim to be Catholic and support abortion?

Here's some questions....

Bush: Answer the damn question - admit to three mistakes other than missing an appointment (trivial) and hiring someone (their fault). How did you deal with them besides accusing Kerry of denigrating our soldiers?

Kerry: Yes, you already told us how Bush screwed up blah blah blah.... Now how do you plan to unite all these countries to fight terrorism?

I liked the question posed to Kerry to look straight into the camera and say no new taxes for those under the 200k mark. you know he'll be breaking that promise.

I plan on voting and live in CA. I guess I wouldn't make a good senator 🙁
