The debate over these cartoons of Muhammad is ridiculous.

The newspaper that published the cartoons because of self-censorship among the community after the murder of Theo Van Gogh by a Muslim extremist. So this is just a reply that they didn't start as well.

we r not extremist, why do u give me ur reply while am not the one u want? those are just ppl who are said to be muslims but they do other things than the religion says so y do u punish real muslims for someone who is only CALLED muslim?!?

CanOworms is not directing his reply at you. Notice the use of the word 'they' in his post.

I live in London where there is a large muslim population. I saw paeople carrying banners with slogans like 'behead those who insult the prophet' and 'death to europe' and shouting abuse at any white people they saw. If a group of muslims is allowed to do such things, the cartoons should also be allowed right? No british newspaper published these pictures at any stage, and no arrests of protesters were made. So who is in the wrong?

Everyone: infidels and devout islamic faithfuls alike

Forget muhammad. Forget free speech. Forget insulting cartoons, whether by or against the muslems. Forget embassy burning. Forget anonymous people on the internet who call many radical muslems inbred and lunatic (no matter how factual that statement is). Forget 1.2 billion people and other misleading statistics. Forget bush politics.

BUT,

Never forget 9/11.
Do not forget 7 July (London).
Do not forget The Beslan school hostage crisis September 1, 2004, 344 civilians were killed, 186 of them children
Do not forget that the principle belief of most ME muslems is to eradicate Israel.
Do not forget suicide bombers.
Do not forget ... the list is long. way too long. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents

How many must die every day until the world realizes that there is deep rooted evil in the middle east that will continue and grow.

Where else in the world can you find so many crimes against humanity.

How can the few on this board that argue for whatever muslem cause just for arguing sakes not realize the simple, undeniable, ugly truth. There can be no argument.

the only argument we should be having is how can the world work together to eradicate this evil? whether you are muslem or not, that is the main issue.

The root cause of everything you mentioned is politic. Even if you take away Islam from the world, there will still be sepratist. There will still be social class that are being discriminated against. There will still be argument on who owns what land. There will still be US butting into other countries' business for whatever national interests. So there will be other pissed off people using other means other than Islam to rally their troops.

If you don't try to understand the root issue and simply blame the religion, you will never solve the real problem

Quit smoking the poppies, bud. Or pass some this way.

I didn't blame religion - in fact I said forget muhammed. And its NOT politics. if your only argument is that these mass murders are politically motivated, you're probably still bedwetting.

Bottom line is you have hundreds of thousands of inbred lunatics running all over that region, killing people, including their own, every single day.

If for instance Seattle (heh) all of the sudden turned separatist, and started killing everyone, we'd do something about it. Or even Mexico for that matter. Or Canada. (could happen :) )

Now stop being part of the problem.

where is respect when everybody say wut he wants to? its like hitting us and asking not to talk cuz its freedom!
No, it's nothing of the sort.

Hitting you and asking you not to talk about it is what our executive branch is doing over in the ME.

No one here was hit by a cartoon. You may have been deeply offended, but guess what? You should have been. That's acceptable. Someone else's health and property are more important than your feelings.

no insult against chrisrianity nobody here in talks about it!!
Do you mean to say we don't insult Christianity on this forum? I hope not, because it happens fairly often. The main thing keeping it sane is the name-calling rule by the mods (it also doesn't hurt that RipRorin hasn't been around for a good long while ;)).

they r just burning flags to protest against wut they did.. so this is just a reply they didnt start!
You haven't met a US military family, have you? If you had, you would not pass off flag burning. It is a form of speech that is very deeply offensive to millions.

Your health is more important than my feelings. My health is more important than your feelings. There is no need to respect your beliefs, merely your ability to practice them safely.

The question is, are you gonna just go and nuke Seattle (your example, not my ;))without asking why they turn into separatist first? Or you really want to figure out why they turn into separatist and address the problem?

I think we're beyond metaphors at this point. With every day, more of their children are born, and indoctrinated into a culture that praises intolerance, ignorance, and murder. And they reproduce far faster then the West. Yassir Arafat has said that it is the Palestinian woman's womb that will win the war for them... and in Europe, that's exactly what's happening.

So if we all know it's going to come to an all-out war eventually... what are we waiting for? Are we really going to sit until we're such a small minority that our actions can no longer have an effect?

Why do you insist on pretending i said stuff I didn't say, or even remotely imply (nuke??)

Nuking did cross my mind when I saw the twin towers burn, but that was more emotional than logical.

But yes, I would have zero tolerance for any form of murder whether committed by Seattle, Quebec, Oaxaca, or Mosul. I wouldn't nuke them.

I don't have all the answers, nor do I hate all the muslems.

tru dat, except that this latest muslim protest including the violent incidents is a result of the same situation that underlines terrorism. In fact this shows how widespread the support for violence which ultimately results in terrorism is, as opposed to saying terrorirsm is limited to a miniscule minority. This shows that arab muslim population as a whole is a breeding ground for evil which means these societies have some kind of a flaw which represents a danger to the rest of the world.

Well I hope they declare war and try to invade Europe and America, so we have a reason to crush these intolerant religious fanatics.

I hope that Alaa is not representative of all Muslims. Unfortunately, this is more likely than not the case.

They are pushing the issue to the point where it may be necessary to call for an anti-jihad and take care of the festering problem.

The problem is that we've grown too sympathetic for our own good. As societies, we have accepted peace as the only means to an end. We seemingly abhor violence. Yet a time is coming, when we have to decide whether we're going to take up arms against an enemy that will not listen to reason, or fade into the annals of history.

I, personally, prefer the former... and I am not alone. The muslim fanatics think they can conquer the world... but I know that all they are doing is leading whole countries and people's to oblivion. The catch is that those countries, and those peoples are theirs.

You're out of your mind. If you stopped chanting "death to all jews" and "we'll run the zionists into the sea", Israel would be your best buddy. They don't hate you, they are afraid of you... because you clearly value their deaths more than your lives.
