The Death of a Packard Bell

Good old Packard Hell. They really "flamed" that one.

The PIIs and Celerons were actually somewhat decent. Ran a Linux distro on a PII Packard Bell for about a year. Never had any problems. The older models could be a qualified nightmare at times.

inspired by this and another thread about getting the magnets out of a hd i took my 1.58gb seagate to pieces but cant get the magnets out! :|

anyway the motor, platter, heads, and magnets are submerged in one piece in water and is on my desk 😀

i use the platters as a mirror and my 486 DX-2 as a comb in the morning.
