Driver downloads are brutally slow on this POS website!!

I'm intrigued enough by the K7S5A board to order one, but damn, 82 bytes per second??? These cheap bastards can't afford to put a USA host for a few megs of driver downloads? Sure, they have a USA website, but the drivers come from Taiwan!

The drivers are best from the respective chip manufacturers anyway. Try www.sis.com ... and the BIOSes can also be retrieved from resellers that are more local to you.

I usually get good download speeds from www.ecs.com.tw - but at a time of day when you are sound asleep.
