While everyone focuses on Obama's performance in the first debate possibly costing him the election, I think when all is said and done it may be Romney's audition to be Hillary Clinton's replacement this past Monday night that will be seen as the turning point.

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion, given that Obama's positions have advanced after that debate, and the electoral math hasn't changed in Romney's favor.

haha, had me in tears. We all know that Jon Stewart is an entertainer but he couldn't be more right on target.

I meant that I think Monday night will be seen as the turning point in Obama's favor. On Monday Romney appeared utterly clueless and eager to adopt Obama's foreign policy positions on almost everything. I think it may finally be the moment when Americans wake up and realize that the man is a complete fraud who will say anything to anyone to try to score a vote.

Domestic policy is what matters. Obama did better in that one too.

Domestic policy may matter more, but it was on foreign policy that Romney's fecklessness and dishonesty was laid bare, IMO.

I'm not sure I could make that statement. Not without inherent bias. I mean he's looked terrible to me since the first time I saw him. How someone could get this far and suddenly at the 3rd Presidential debate go "You know what honey? I think this Romney guy is full of shit" is beyond me.

All Romney is picking up at this point is Republicans that aren't sure if they should vote for someone else or stick to their party of choice in previous elections.
