It's not about the "artistic" notion of the movie... screw that. It's all about the Benjamins and apparently since Cube made some dough, they wanted to increase their dough^3 (Cubed, get it?? hahahahm I think I should get the "jokester apprentice" status upgrade like Brutuskend)

Unfortunetly that's really common and it ruins some really good movies 🙁 Matrix Trilogy comes to mind.

It's called "Cube."

And the sequel is called "Cube 2: Hypercube". The sequel's ok, but lacks the bite of the first movie.

Yea at least with the first movie, given the group of people they had they could figure out the "puzzle". In Hypercube it was more of an action flick because there was no solvable puzzle, except for that stupid equation of figuring out when the darn thing would implose/expire which made no sense considering that doesn't really help you get out. Too bad there weren't more "traps" to get around.

But other than a few flaws, Hypercube was well done. Then the last 5 minutes totally shattered the greatness of that movie.

I missed the first half hour, but what was the point of the boots? Was it to hold the doors open? If so, why were they down to only one instead of just using one boot over and over?

I saw both cube movies and liked them somewhat. Interesting concept, though its like they have a script that is passed around by 20 writers and each is given the job of writing a chapter. None of it fits together at all. This is more true for cube 2 than cube, but if you've seen em' both you'll prolly understand what I'm saying.

The point of the boots was to test for booby traps. The boots didn't always survive. 😉
