This is what I love about working in a manufacturing corporate environment instead of our north american HQ down the road. It's a different world when I walk in their office but love it where I'm at. Completely down to earth, people are not easily offended (or at least are not programmed to believe they are or should be offended), etc. It's great.

They were thought up right then and there, but the next one would most likely be something like, "I got paid (insert date here)"

I linked them all to current events, and so it was based on whatever depressing news I could find and saying how "hey at least we're not them"

the culture of the corporation is vital to a positive work experience. Each person had different needs that they need to get out of a culture. My current company is extremely laid back but it took me many many months (8 probably) to open up more. 10 years of being screwed over in my former industry pretty much kills a person's soul.
