The coolest crotch-rocket bikes that you've ever seen?? --post them/pics here

Check out this page @ my website for pics of the Ducati900.

I've got to get back to work instead of drooling over this bike!

It's one of a few that I've seen that I really like, but it's the only one I have pics of currently.

I had a ZX-9R awhile ago. Black with a purple tint. I remember an 'encounter' with a decked out, skittles green Porsche once.

Ahhhh the memories.

Hehehe. CBR. Hehehehe... How about

HYABUSA!! Soooooo bad. I would never have one (I drive cruisers only) but they are a feat of engineering, and so nice to look at.

A little more linkage to back me up...

125 HP for the CBR? How about 175 HP on a stock hyabusa @ 10,000 RPM? And 0-60 in 2.75 seconds? Top speed over 200 MPH. AMAZING bikes.

Hayabusa's are siuck bikes. Aprilla are cool too. The sickest bike I have seen had to be a 3000+cc modified Hayabusa.

Well, it's not a sport bike, but it deserves some mention.... How about a BOSS HOSS?

If you don't know what a Boss Hoss is, it's a motorcycle with a big block chevy engine in it (like, from a SPORTSCAR). The one in this picture is a 502 Cubic INCH 500+ HP badboy. They are actually street legal. The most powerful nikes in the world, no contest. Basically just high-oreformance car engines on wheels with a seat. Do a search for "Boss Hoss" on your fav. search engine. LOTS to read about them.

I'd kill myself owning a crotch rocket. I've got a serious aliment called WOP (wide open throttle). I own my 1100cc V-twin for just this reason.

If I did want to kill myself, a Gixxer 750 ought to do the trick. Zero - OMFG in no time flat!

compuwiz1:

That is very similar to the Kawasaki KZ1000, overbored to 1200 cc, my son and I built about 10 years ago. He dragged it here in florida a few times, but never really got that good. One day he drove it to the Post Office and a guy in a pickup broadsided him and destroyed it. The insurance company gave me $750 for it because it was an '80 something. We must have had $10K in that bike. Sheezh.

Although it was fast, it couldn't compare to some of the bikes at the track that were beating it by almost a second. Some guys are nuts when it comes to spending money on their hobbies!!

One of the more striking crotch rockets I have ever seen was the all-chrome sportbike built up by Monolith CEO Jason Hall a few years back. I saw pics of it in the summer of 1999 when he was selling it, but the page is down now and I am unable to link to a pic of it. He somehow managed to chrome the ENTIRE bike, to include all aluminum and even fiberglass parts. It seemed like a strange exercise to me given the cost involved, but the thing was certainly eye-catching. I believe it began life as a Suzuki GSX-750-R.

A REAL Japanese bike. 😉

Heheh, getting a Japanese motorbike permit is so much harder than getting a North American one. Hence, the Japanese don't actually ride these 1.1 litre monster bikes. They just make 'em so we can kill ourselves. :Q

Anyways, I've given up on donorcycles, because I hate riding in the rain, and the drivers around here absolutely suck. Stupid tailgaiters. :| (Strangely enough, my next car will have less hp than most of the bikes in this thread.m 😛)
