If the political pendelum does start swinging back to the left this election, I have a feeling that we will see the end of the conservative talk shows and they will be replaced by left leaning talk shows.

I can't wait to see the FOX whores turn on their conservative base once they see where the political winds are blowing.

You know, I've gotten to the point where I just skip over you ridiculous posts because they're not even worth the time to read. You basically have little to nothing of substance to say and when proven wrong continue on your rant as if in denial.

What is successful about talk radio is that it attracts the brain dead who are easily manipulated, hypnotized, and can be magnetized by feeding them hate and telling them what to buy. Which is untrue---I do listen on more than a few occasions.------I just don't drink their kool aid without thinking for myself.

But you seemed to have missed the question itself---its one thing to have listeners who would vote GOP anyway---its another to attract converts and change their voting habits.

Or to put it another way---are they just preaching to the same choir? While the stench of their results and message repels everyone else?

Quite true.

Other than for occasional entertainment value, I can't imagine any rational reasonably intelligent person actually listening to that garbage.

No doubt they are among the same people who enjoy the WWF and/or NASCAR (500 miles of left turns). Like conservative talk radio, those two markets are widely successfull too.

Obviously you have NO clue what you are talking about.
If you had listened to either show during the immigration bill debate you would have heard both of them rip Bush apart on a daily basis. Same thing with Bush's free spending ways. Rush rips Bush apart for many many things as does Hannity.

In case you haven't noticed Bush is NOT a very "conservative" President, in the traditional definition. Way to much spending, expansion of government via the drug program, the immigration amnesty thing. There will be a lot of happy conservatives when Bush is gone, especially if he is replaced by a true conservative, but I doubt that will happen.

We are far more likely to approve of a centrist Democratic President than a liberally controlled congress. (Take away the womanizing and the inability to tell the truth and Clinton wasn?t TO bad. Except his foreign policy was a disaster for the most part.)

Continue on with your apoligizing and defending of the current administration you claim you don't support. As far as I'm concerned you are like Rush, you are doing your cause more harm then goos, so carry on.

They only started attacking Bush's liberal policies when most callers would accuse him of being too soft. "Ripping apart" is debatable as well. He may have arguments with them (IIRC he argued with Cheney on the show a few months ago over something) but they are rarely heated. Since when does he attack Bush for spending too much? Every day it's the same old "The economy has never been better!" or "Clinton had defecits too!" crap. He almost never argues about ideas like Savage does. Most of the show is dedicated to Republicans this Democrats bad and nothing else. When he discusses racism, it's likely because of one party accusing the other of it. When he discusses illegal immigration it's usually about illegals voting Democrat. Not saying that he shouldn't argue about those things every once in a while, but it's gotten stale.

I have to disagree about conservative talk radio failing if Democrats get to power. Their ratings will only improve if there is any political climate change. Many people would tune into hearing them go on the attack instead of just defending every Republican policy.

I lean conservative myself, but I always enjoyed the a hometown talk program "Left Turn" that my local radio station broadcasted on weekend afternoons.
