The Computer History Simulation Project

This is a online project to preserve historical computer systems by emulation/simulation. They created a freeware application called 'SIMH' that emulates a veriaty of historically significant machines.. PDP machines, Vax machines, Altair, Honeywell... etc etc.

Then they also include downloads of classic operating systems and some software to run on those things. Some even include source code.

Ever wanted to try out one of the pure original Unix systems? Unix v2 or v5 or v7? Or maybe you used a machine running VAX/VMS at one point... Or one of the many DOS (Disk Operating System) systems.

Want to see what Unix was like before commands like 'cd' or 'vi' came along?

All sorts of bizzare stuff.
