Check out you local Office Depot pretty quick. They are selling this 31 CD-ROM set for only $9.88. This still sells for $99 most places.
Strange thing is that it didnt have one of the usual Clearance tags on it - it had the usual barcode tag with $9.99 printed as though regular price. Register scanned the price at $9.88 as well! Couldnt find any regular sku on the software, but the receipt printed the number "077204077530". Found this in Dallas store. Good luck finding this deal.

Dang, can't find one of these in the SoCal area, could really use it.

However thanks to LordGord for the fine post, it includes all the important information so often left out.

BTW if somebody can snag an extra one of these, please pm me, thanks!

I was really excited when I saw this post. Rushed down to my local OD and of course they didn't know what I was talking about - nothing on the shelves. They looked up that SKU and it turned up nothing. Walked out with my tail between my legs.

If you could post of let us know the item # from your receipt, it might help track one of these puppies down.

Cheers!

Ghad...I ain't made of money, but I would not get the CD-rom set, but get the DVD version.

Trust me, 31 CD's will end up just taking space....and being a pain to use.

The 3 OD's in my city are the worst! Yesterday, the Cybiko deal for $59.88 (none of them had it for this price, all were $99.99) and today, the Nat'l Geographic collection (all three are out of stock).

Rats, rats, rats!!!

I think LordGod simply lucked out on this deal (maybe it's the name or something). I tried 2 local OD's and neither had any knowlege or any record of National Geographic 110 Years. Shame, coz this would be an awesome deal.

Keep us posted if anyone else lucks out.

After installing the product (on my Grand-Pappy's p.c of course), I'll just warn you guys not to expect too much in terms of image and text quality from this set. The text and graphics are all in jpeg format; and I think they were compressed too darn much. Tried printing last night on my E-stamp printer and just couldnt read much of the text at all. Guess that's the price we pay for squeezing it all onto those 31 CD's. Can't complain for the price though!

See N.G's Support FAQ confirming the quality issue here

And for those guys who mailed me, Sorry I tried my local OD in Addison, TX just now and they were totally out of stock.

Good luck finding it. Oh ,and Serzone, it's LordGord; but thanks for the compliment ;)
