I don't see how you think a vote of no confidence in something equals sedition.

There wouldn't be a role for Congress to play here, for them to take a vote, if taking this vote in either direction wasn't part of their sworn duty to our nation. They are not required to vote the way you want them to.

Their concerns of election fraud are shared by many millions of Americans, and were never fully reviewed or addressed. It puts into question not only the election of 2020 but of all future elections as well. They do not trust the process and are objecting. Far worse things will occur so long as the alt-reality bubble continues to exist and we cannot find meaningful ways to cooperate as one nation.

Calling them seditionists is for you to flagrantly ignore and dismiss their concerns with prejudice instead of reasonably hearing them out and then finding a constructive way to investigate and prevent a continued opening of wounds. Right or wrong, the fear derived from their belief has lit a fuse. Do you concern yourself at all with putting it out, or do you merely intend to pour fuel onto the inevitable result?

Sadly, many here have stated that they wish to add to the conflict - rather than buy us time and influence by making any concessions at all to balm the fear and hysteria of the American people.

Election challenges were fully heard almost 70 times. Stop the bullshit.

These clowns will go down in the history books as traitors.

The right needs to shut the fuck up about supposed divisive rhetoric by the left and the media. Until the right owns up is it’s responsibilities for yesterday and the President is arrested and tried they have no leg to stand on. The rights rhetoric over the past four years and the last three months has been a danger to our country. The GOP members that have played these dangerous games deserve to be called every name in the book. They are also like Trump responsible for the seditious insurrection by the deplorable Maggots yesterday. The 45% of republicans that support yesterdays attack on the capital are also deplorable maggot traitors.

We just had our capitol building over run in a violent insurrection, spurred on by a desperate criminal who doesn't care if people die, and you want to discuss the feels of his supporters? Entertain evidence free conspiracy theories while the country and our institutions crumble? lol fuck off

Don't worry, they wont be re-elected when it comes time for their reelection. That is if there are enough smart people remaining in America.

I flagrantly dismiss their concerns because the courts have already reviewed and dismissed their concerns as unfounded. These Congressional representatives are well aware of the facts and don't care; they want what they want with absolute disdain for our Constitution, the will of the voters, and the future of our Republic. In short, they committed treason yesterday because they chose to refuse to accept the results of legitimate elections, the same elections that put every single House member listed above in that room. They voted to disenfranchise the citizens of multiple states because they don't care about elections, they only care about their own personal power. They are utter disgraces.

Sadly, many here have stated that they wish to add to the conflict - rather than buy us time and influence by making any concessions at all to balm the fear and hysteria of the American people.

Mitt Romney (a Republican) said it best:
“The objectors have claimed they are doing so on behalf of the voters. Have an audit, they say, to satisfy the many people who believe that the election was stolen. Please! No Congressional led audit will ever convince those voters, particularly when the President will continue to claim that the election was stolen. The best way we can show respect for the voters who are upset is by telling them the truth. That is the burden, and the duty, of leadership. The truth is that President-elect Biden won this election. President Trump lost. Scores of courts, the President’s own Attorney General, and state election officials both Republican and Democrat have reached this unequivocal decision.

In other words, fuck their feelings.

It's rather entertaining to see how these traitors thought they'd look really good to their constituencies by standing along side Trump and his quest to deny the people's right to choose their leaders only to have things take a humiliating wicked turn that has now made them out to be treasonous seditionists attempting to overthrow the very gov't they swore to defend.

Don't waste your time because logic doesn't change many minds around here. That "list of Congressional traitors" did nothing illegal but somehow need to be punished for exercising legal means to address concerns of their constituencies. People are mad because the determination not to address election validity concerns with the same enthusiasm as it was in 2016. For a party that is calling for "unity" and "friendship", the Democrats are beginning to threaten people with the power of the government if they disagree. I don't recall the same people thinking about the poor disenfranchised voters when we had the last 4 years of trying to remove Trump from office over faked evidence and a corrupt investigation.

If you truly believe this, then you are as misguided as they are. You are excusing their actions. It's been fully reviewed, in some places many times over (ie Georgia and Pennsylvania). It's been addressed numerous times and tossed on it's face for lack of merit in the courts, by Trump-appointed judges. If his followers want to cling to their fantasies, we do not have to play along.
It puts into question not only the election of 2020 but of all future elections as well.
No, no it doesn't. At least, not in reality. Only in the minds of a few dozen million Americans who cannot be convinced by factual reality. Appease them here, and where does it stop? Nope. They can fuck off, I'm tired of playing nice with fucktards who believe conspiracy bullshit just because Trump said it. If they are that brainwashed, they can get fucked.

Show me where in the constitution congress has the right to through out a state's electoral votes for any reason, much less because they don't agree with technical decisions of how they ran their election.

Show me where in the constitution congress has the right to through out a state's electoral votes for any reason, much less because they don't agree with technical decisions of how they ran their election.
That's interesting. The only Constitutional guidance I see is in the Twelfth Amendment:

The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;

The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed....

And the other condition doesn't matter here.

The Constitution doesn't say who shall count the votes. It also doesn't say how the votes shall be counted, presumably because how to count was assumed to be common knowledge.

And that worked great until the election of 1876. Apparently, certain southern states engaged in fraud, by methods such as intimidation of African-American voters. (Sounds familiar!) So they settled that, by making a commission of fifteen people to count the votes.

Ten years after that settlement they enacted the Electoral Count Act. Which is somewhat confusing, and little-tested in court, but it's what's followed today. And that's how Congress learned to count. ;)

All these arguments are somewhat besides the point, the only point of Dump's presidency is 'White is Right' and that is what most Republicans stand for today, anything else is just an elaborate pretense....this is exactly what they showed by the disproportionate response to what were clearly armed Nazi terrorists yesterday, if they had been of a different persuasion, I guarantee the death toll would have been in the hundreds and Fox News would have egged the authorities on to mow them down....

No sir, I'm sorry. They were thoroughly reviewed and addressed. The angry children occupying adult bodies did not like results so they got angry.
And the vast majority of accusations had absolutely no evidence anyway. The shit being dragged into court was so baseless the judges eventually got fed up with the waste of time and started threatening the lawyers with disbarment for their abuse of the legal system.
This is solid proof Donalds bullshit propagation machine works wonders on the average American. He successfully convinced thousands of nutjobs something completely opposite to what was in the news and got them to protest violently in support of his fantasy. And that evil piece of shit Rudy helped him.

Donald needs to be dragged out kicking and screaming, then sent to trial. He is literally ruining this country and his world-class ego is the primary issue here.

@Jaskalas would you tear down the entire 5G telecommunications cellular network? Or outlaw vaccinations?

Because there are fucking morons who think that it's bad and will do bad things. And that vaccines are made by Bill Gates and contain microchips.
Should we pamper to these whims of fantasy and (idiotic) beliefs as well? I think you can see where I'm going with this.

You are making ridiculous suggestions of appeasement here. It's incredibly dumb compared to your average thoughts and notions on these boards.

Why? Only to 'avoid hostilities'? Or is there something else? Perhaps you question the election as well? I know some of the idiot posters here do, but I didn't expect you were among them... :disappointed:

He lost, get over it.

They all need to be investigated. It sounds very McCarthy, but they need to participate in hearings and answer questions, under oath, in front of their peers. Give them a chance to explain themselves. I'm not about "punishing" them, but they seriously need to answer questions, especially as you've got social media records and public comments that put a lot of them in the same responsibility area as Donald Trump in terms of inciting this attack.

Those that refuse to reject their votes for sedition should be removed.

---

I'm tired of these fucking hillbillies braying about "Well, how else do I get my voice heard??? WAAAAA! My only option is to go to the capital and tell them what I think! WAAAA!"

You fucking cvnts: the last 3 months were you "Having your god-fucking voice heard" you ignorant pieces of shit. It was literally impossible for you to not have your voices heard, you puss-seeping garbage humans. You were heard in federal courts across the country to the tune of 60+ rejections of your bullshit "voices." You were fucking heard far, far, far more than you ever fucking deserved for these fucking hallucinations. What these fucking idiots are responding to is that they don't like the response they got. They don't like it, so they think they are entitled to keep screaming until they get what they want. And only what they want. Fucking children. Every fucking one of them. Fucking fuck them to hell.

These fucking quislings were trained by Benghazi: Don't like the outcome of legitimate investigation? Well, let's just hold a dozen fake hearings and keep asking the same thoroughly-answered questions until we get the answers we want. What happened when they didn't get the answers they wanted in the Muller investigation, to the tune of 10 cases of obstruction of justice and plain collaboration between Russia and the Trump campaign? They invented a fake summary, believed the fake summary to he the results, and refuse to believe anything else. We have fucking retards on this board that still believe that shit to this day.

What public order can survive when you have a significant population of adults that, as a result of cognitive arrest at around 12 years of age, have been co-opted into translating their personal terrors into some false reality that faces them on the streets? How is a country supposed to survive when you continue to tolerate the existence of a very obvious death cult and it's thoroughly-desired intention to burn this country to the ground?

The GOP is the greatest threat to this world, today. It's been that way for maybe 2 decades now, maybe longer in reality. These fuckers have to go. If this country is to exist, the GOP can not.

Quisling says what?
