we've all seen the show. I have seen the show and I like it alot, as well as the daily show of course. It was really nice when Bill visited Stephen.

I do have a question if anyone can help me. At the end of the colbert report, it said that John Stewart was one of the producers of the show. I was talking to one of my friends about how that would not make any sense at all because they have "Different" politcal views. But my friend was explaining to me that Stephen's show is all an act. Does he really support the president as much as he claims to, or what's his deal. He seems to good to be true, and honesntly all on act.

I was even more surprised cause Bill said something during his visit to the show that sounded like he liked John Stewart more the or something like that. Does anyone have any insight on this or can anyone hlep clarify this for me please?

Are you kidding me? Obviously the things he says about Bush are all a joke for the show. Its the most thinly veiled sarcasm in TV. I also don't think that has anything to do with Colbert's political views, either.

no, it's fake, the only difference between stewart and colebert is people take stewart seriously.

No kidding. It makes a complete mockery of the extreme right wing hacks on TV. Both shows have political views aligned the same, but just differ in their presentation.

No, the sad part is that the news they talk about is true and verifiable. Several times I hear stuff there that I think has to be a joke. Nope, it's real. Heck, when they want to make fun of someone in the House or Senate, all they need to do is just play the clip of the politician speaking. Nothing made up about that.

One thing I liked best was when Rumsfeld said on camera that he never said that we knew where the WMDs in Iraq were kept. The Daily Show then played a clip of Rumsfeld saying that "We know where the weapons are." Stewart went on to say that Rumsfeld had now been caught making a blatant contradiction, surely this would be on the major news networks. Nope, they just ridiculed the "heckler" who asked Rumsfeld why he lied about the WMDs. I think part of what The Daily Show and Colbert Report do is help show how the major news sources too often don't report on things they should be bringing up.

The one politician and his whole "The Internet is a series of tubes" bit, and how this guy is in charge of some technology committee - that I find a bit unsettling. Not only that, but also the fact that that is the sort of thing that seems to find publicity primarily on Comedy Central, not CNN, NBC, or FOX.

The Daily Show and Colbert Report don't make up the news they present. It's verifiable information, with a spin to make it funny. Though admittedly, the "series of tubes" thing is funny by itself. Sad, but also funny.
