Well, I'll give you a hint. guess014.mp3 has been reused many times by later composers.

I'll give you another hint: Rachmainoff is one such composer.

Sorry, this is hard, so I'm just gonna start taking stabs here. Midori? Sophie-Mutter?

Well, based on what you've said I'm going to have to forget everything I've said...

I'm going to say it's Perlman, because prior to my first guess I didn't listen long enough for the pizz. Given that you said the performer records these a lot I'm going to have to say it's either a Paganini Caprice or a Kreisler piece.

Off topic, but I saw Perlman perform a dozen or so Kreisler pieces along with Beethoven's Kreuzer (wow it was good!) a month or so back.

Nope.

Rachmaninoff made a famous piece based off guess014.mp3 though. Maybe google can help you out :p

DINGDINGDING!!! Perlman is correct. It is also a paganini caprice. I need to know which one though.

Good Job! :p

BTW, the thing rachmaninoff did was "Varations on a Theme by Paganini"

I'll bet the majority of people who don't even know who schubert is have heard that piece, the varation 18 is very famous.

No, because I might give the answer away. I'm going to be smarter and play the waiting game. :p

jk

I'll start guessing. Are we looking at Chopin or Liszt? Or am I way off?

Way off. Note the "type" of piece guess015.mp3 is.

Edit: This one is a bit tricky though. I'll give you two hints:
1. This is a part of 4 movements.
2. The entire 4 movements is longer than 40 minutes.
