Chromecast Audio was a joke for me because when these launched I was like who the hell would buy this?
Then the other day I was conversating of how a cheaper multi-room shared audio device would be awesome (other than buying sonos) and realized this is exactly what one of the features is. Now, I'm really debating on picking two of these up at BB for $55.

I always play music through my 2.1 PC speakers that are over 10 years old but still sound great and barely use my home theater speakers in my movie/game room. This will give me the opportunity to use both :)

That is exactly why I jumped on three. My house is full of speaker systems, they just never worked together before.

So far it seems like the CCA connected to my Yamaha AVR is delayed differently than the other two. Will try to fix it up this weekend. The sound quality is great so far, as good or better than my AVR's built-in Spotify player.

Did you manage to fix the latency issues?

I was able to, with my wife's help I was able to get the delay correct for my livingroom system.

In regards to quality, I could tell a pretty significant difference between it being connected via analog and then being connected via toslink to the save reciever. I think the DAC inside is more than adequate for non-high-end setups (like the 80's stereo I use in my garage or the Logitech speaker I use in my kitchen), but it worth the money to get a Toslink cable for the AV system. Its perfect then.

The only issue I have as far as issues is that sometimes the group (aka the "House" option for casting) doesn't always show up and forces me to restart the app to see it. But this is random, and overall it isn't that annoying. Still love these devices for the price, even if you don't get the $20 back.

That bug is weird... I assume it'll get fixed sooner or later. Did you also compare the quality of the CCA with HDR on and off (can be changed using the chromecast app)?
