The Caucasus Stirs .....

Looks like the Caucasus is returning to its old self. Hundreds of militants have been arrested in Chechnya, and numerous shootouts have happened in Chechnya, Ingushetia, and Dagestan.

But it gets deeper than just all of that. ISIS has come to the lands of ISIS itself, no Arab infiltators needed, as numerous numbers of Caucasians traveled to Iraq and Syria a very long time ago, and they joined ISIS, and now some of them have surely returned. But even that isnt required for ISIS to take root, for all one needs is for a few locals to take up the banner and cause of ISIS themselves for ISIS to now been lurking in any land. Its how movements naturally work.

And of course it still gets even deeper still. A bodyguard of Ramzan Kadyrov, a man named Alikhan Muzaev, was arrested by Chechnyan security forces, and ended up dying in their custody. Supposedly he was conspiring with other insurgents to murder Kadyrov, although given how Russia and Chechnya work, you never really can be sure of the truth.
