The Car Show is really getting good.

I am adding it to my DVR to record the entire series. It is funny, the guys are starting to develop a good chemistry, and Adam Carolla is very entertaining.

Top Gear USA isn't anywhere near as good as this show.

Agree - the second episode was much better than the first. The comedy aspects of it worked much better than in the first episode - the teaching-hot-chicks-to-drive-stick segment, for example, would certainly have fallen flat on Top Gear USA, but I thought it was quite entertaining.

I find it hard to watch the Car Show without wanting it more to be like Top Gear UK, and I think many of my criticisms of it are, well, because it's not TG. I know this is kind of an unfair criticism, but TG is realistically the benchmark in this genre.

I think the Car Show is good but I'd like to see longer, more fully-produced segments - the show feels like a patchwork of a bunch of tiny bite-sized pieces and it makes it feel long at times, without much in the way of depth. Some of the individual segments are also not produced in an entertaining way (e.g., the Dan Neil dirt racing piece). I would like to see them mute the audience when they play the pre taped bits - it sounds like a laugh track.

All of these criticisms aside, I do like the show and hope it's successful enough to make it for a second season.

I agree, I'm also liking it more, definitely more than TG:US.

Salley still feels like an unnecessary 4th wheel tho, almost a little awkward. Doesn't really contribute to the conversations, and when he does, it seems like he lacks car knowledge compared to the others, so he says 'meh' things. Also a little weird i think, when Adam cracks a couple jokes as he does, sure everyone gets a chuckle but he almost ROFLs... 0_0

Salley doesn't know anything about cars. He can afford any of these cars, but would rather have a driver than he himself drive.

The short segments are my biggest complaint. They make the show feel disjointed. Aside from that it's actually pretty good. Definitely not Top Gear, and that's a good thing. No matter what any car show does they'll be compared to TG, but if they stick to their own setup/format I think they'll do well.

Ok. Just watched episode 4.

Am so happy that a car show that's not Top Gear UK is actually fun to watch.

While I've been a fan of TG UK for a long long time, it's nice to see a car show that features american cars, and american guests - like Steve Millen for example.

Although I was a little wary of Carolla's sense of humor early in the series, it's starting to catch on and thank god he isn't namby-pambying / PCing his jokes.

FYI - this in on Comcast OnDemand - an easy way to catch up on old episodes.

TopGear US is much better this season than last season. Much better!

Steve Millen is from New Zealand.....

this week's episode was really good. Adam really went on some rants and they had the gratuitous stupid stuff like the soap box and I don't know why Bam was on, but the rest of it was good.

Agreed. Carolla has been really funny. I love that he pretty much says whatever comes to mind. Reminds me of the Man Show but with car content.

I've watched the first three episodes on the torrents. It's definitely better than Top Gear US, but only because Adam Carolla actually has a personality. I don't understand why John Salley is on the show though, he's a bit boring and doesn't even seem to know anything about cars.

I enjoy the show much more than TG:USA. Carolla very much reminds me of Jeremy Clarkson if he were Jewish. John Salley needs to go and be replaced with someone that has maybe been in the industry.
