As a medical cannabis user I support these kinds of threads, anything to open up discussion on a product something 100,000,000+ Americans have experience with. Bet you couldn't say the same about egg plant.

What I find quite ironic is that everyone that I know who smokes marijuana are successful lawyers, engineers, educators, designers, artists, etc. I do not know of a single person who is a waste to society that tokes it regularly.

Every time I see one of those "Above the Influence" commercials on TV showing a pothead wasting away on a couch in a basement somewhere, I have to chuckle.

Well if drinking and driving is bragged about here, why not marijuana use?

I know all kinds. People with great jobs + million dollar homes or people still living with their parents and jobless. It's such a wide spectrum of who partakes in Cannabis any stereotype is silly. It'd be like saying everyone who drinks is an alcoholic who sleeps on bus benches.

Exactly. Correlation does not equal causation. Personally, I don't keep friends with dumbasses who waste their lives away. It's nice to see that talk about cannabis is becoming more prevalent on the news and media--hopefully one day soon people will be more understanding and welcoming of the plant.

I'd rather be high on weed than being drunk ANYDAY. When I work out, I get high before hand, I find that I push myself harder when I'm high, and working out is actually quite enjoyable. Now let's see if you can say the same thing about alcohol.

:thumbsup: Heh, I don't think I know anyone who hasn't at least tried pot. Can't say the same thing about Brussels sprouts.

I'd love for this issue to pass this year. It probably won't, but they'll keep trying.

I thought they had the choice of using city or cook county laws or some such where if they use city it's a ticket but if they are trying to nail you they could use cook county and get you in prison or something odd like that. I am probably wrong on a bit of this but Im pretty sure it isn't as cut and dry as you are making it seem.

We have similar legislation hitting California soon too. Hopefully it passes, I'm rooting for you guys in CO.

I'm thinking about trying to get my medical card. Need to find a doctor.

GF has a test on Friday. Did niacin last week + 14 days clean, hope it works out okay. I'm sure it will.

I don't anything about weed.

What's a good brand? How can I determine quality? How do I make sure crack isn't sprinkled in it?

Do they make flavored weed? Do I need one of those Hookah bottles to smoke it, or is it better to spit up some cigarette paper and smoke it straight?

Go watch a documentary called "The Union" and learn what you can. Probably the best-produced documentary on the subject.

no it doesnt. natives chew on the leaves all the time to give them a buzz. the processing just makes it way stronger.

technically not true.

Only Portugal has decriminalized cannabis. It is not officially decriminalized in Holland, despite assumptions.

Further, to compare these places to CO, CA, MA is, to put it mildly: LoL.

and tobacco contains nicotine. You can chew and chew on the leaves for a little buzz.

drink a few mLs of purified nicotine, however, and you are dead.

truth. i believe the DARE campaign failed, but not because of the reasons we think. i believe the campaign would have been far more successful if it targeted addiction rather than "drugs".
