Tiramisu for breakfast.

Just finished a bowl of spaghetti w/marinara sauce.

I might eat half an Italian chicken sausage sandwich later for lunch.

I eat a LOT during work. :(

One basic 12oz can of Coke: 130 Calories.

If you're watching calories, don't forget also to watch the balance between calories from fat, from carbs, and from protein. The Army's nutritionists recommend that, for someone who is in shape and has an active lifestyle, you get 50-60% of your total calories from carbs, less than 25% from fat, and the rest from protein.

1 fat gram = 9 calories
1 gram of protein or 1 gram of carbs = 4 calories

Dairy Queen small malt:

calories: 650
fat: 16g
carb: 111g
protein: 15g

They say a large malt from a diner, old soda fountain, or even a fast food large malt is:

calories: 1100
fat: 25g+
carb: 188g
protein: 25g

Think about that next time you order a malt with your supersize meal. :)

I did it all the time in HS, sometimes I would have fast food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I added up what I eat at McDonalds occasionally and it came out to ~750 calories and 89g fat. The calories are fine, it is the fat that is disgusting.

It is basically a milkshake (you do know what a milkshake is don' you? ;) ). If you want to get technical a malt is just a milkshake with malted milk powder in it.

Based on commentary by some in my own life who were trying to diet, I've determined that most people have no idea as to the relative calorie count in most foods. Sure we all know that a bigmac has 550 calories, and when combined with fries and a pop you can be up to 1400 easy, but can people really bridge the gap and put that number next to the calories they should be eating in a day? Ie, have 1500 calories for lunch (easy), then with beer and pizza and chips and what not it's quite easy to hit 4500 calories in a day. In fact on days I decide I deserve it 4000 is generally the minimum I eat and I'm not even trying to eat a lot - just eat what I want.

Other days I aim for 1700 calories which is about equal to what many people have in a single meal!

It was stated that I need 3750 calories a day (6 small meals a day) to gain weight, which I am trying to do.

And:
600g of carbs
225g of protein
40g of fat calories

Just to be a technical dooshbag, it's Calorie with a capital C.

calorie is 1/1000 of a Calorie. Food is measured in Calories, or a kilo-calorie.

I wish my food was rated in calories ;)

TRYING to gain weight; something I fear I'll never experience :( Well unless I get in a big accident and have to eat to live. That would suck.

and i just looked up the calories of a piece of KFC chicken breast. quite interesting. 380 cal for original recipie. 460 for extra crispy.

original recipie looks greasier..kinda odd:)

kfc owns most fast food, and it basically costs the same:p
