I just finished replaying the third instalment and I wanted to discuss the series in general.

Last time I played as McCall, this time I was Guerra, and I’ll play agent Evans next time. The story is slightly different depending on whom you play, but all three fit together into a grand arc.

The third had a great story and voice acting but was hugely let down by its shooting mechanics, which felt stiff and lacked character compared to the other games. The graphics were generally above average but I found them lacking in the docks level.

I think the second game is best overall because it hits the high-notes for graphics/story/level design/gunplay, and I liked finding money to upgrade my guns.

The series in general is definitely something different over the Battlefields and Call of Duties of the world. Also its villains are always memorable.

Interestingly, the first game is nine years old now, but its DX10 graphics still look beautiful even when compared to today’s games.

I only played through the first one, and liked it a lot. Bow was sick, but barely got to use it.

Tried the 2nd one I believe, or maybe it was the third based on your description. Apparently you needed a patch just to turn off aim assist even with a mouse. Yea I /quit after that.

Been wanting to try the latest one though, maybe on a Steam sale.

Bound for blood I'll probably never forget the sexist remark " A horse is kind of like a woman you just have to show them what to do". It was funny as hell at the time,

I only played the first one, I think I finished it. All I can really remember is the Calm Waters map, hunting rabbits and climbing Eagle Rock (or whatever it was called).
That was a fun level, especially the mountain climb. It was satisfying reaching the top, and again when reaching the bottom.

Here's some boss profanity hilarity from the third game (excuse the poor quality as I grabbed it from Youtube):
