The Cain campaign has a "major announcement" scheduled for tomorrow.

Not that I supported Cain to begin with, but wouldn't it be sad that he gets taken down, by what is common knowledge about Gengrich?

And so if Cain leaves, that leaves the leaders of the polls to be Ron Paul, Gengrich, and Romney right?

So remind me again, why we would want Romney or Gengrich over Paul? I would like Ron Paul/Santorum ticket, or Ron Paul/Huntsmen ticket.

Though, wouldn't it be amazing if it were Ron Paul/Rand Paul... Now that would be a ticket. From what I can gather, is Rand has some different views than his dad, yet carries the same integrity.

You musta been dropped on your head as a baby.

Just what America needs- Rick Santorum one really old guy's heartbeat away from the Presidency.

Mentioning Rand Paul and integrity in the same sentence confirms my opening sentence in no small way.

So, he launched a web site yesterday, and chose the opening of a new office as the event to announce leaving the race.

There has literally not been a single moment in his campaign which suggested to me that he and his staff know how to run a campaign or have a serious interest in seeing him elected.

If I were his wife, I would be livid that he not only humiliated my family and me and (apparently) cheated on me, but that he spent what must be a significant chunk of the family's personal fortune (which is sizable but far from bottomless - he's estimated to have $4.5-6.5M) on a completely fruitless run for President.

I've maintained Cain ran to build publicity for his name, and connections for business purposes. Maybe a book too, who knows. With that in mind, and if it is true, I think he didn't expect his faux campaign to last this long and have it blow up in his face.

Like Trump, like Palin (teasing, not declaring). Perhaps like Gingrich, but now he's ahead.

I don't actually like Santorum, but fine, I digress, lets remove him from my post. However, I do like Ron Paul, and I guess I have to take your word on Rand, since I haven't read anything stating your position of him.

so, what happens to all the campaign money he raised?

was this just a farce from the start? How could he expect to get elected with those skeletons in his closet?

When a person gains a certain amount of power, it is very easy for them to start to think they are invincible. I wouldn't be surprised if he winds up in a ditch somewhere. Koch bros. don't like to waste money.

If you don't see how his taking a position that it's ok for businesses to segregate, and then try to hide it when it's inconvenient, is an issue, you have other examples to pick from.

I see nothing wrong with private businesses being allowed deny services to whomever they want.

Would you like to be forced to allow anyone into your home?

I am not saying he got into the campaign for this reason but he can make a lot of money with putting out a book and working on FOX News and other Conservative Information outlets.

Did anyone ever make an issue of Mr Cain's race?

Most analysts are saying that's why he got in the race.

He did. 'Obama is scared to face a REAL black man.'

Too bad Mr Cain could not stay in the race. Some people complain that only the same kind of people run for political office. Mr Cain represented a different kind of candidate.

The level of scrutiny a national candidate gets today he\she pretty much has to decide at an early age to go the political career path and behave accordingly.
