i was getting cable installed at my second apartment in austin. the place was all of 450 sq ft. we had 4 people in the apartment for the whole time that the cable guy was supposed to show up. there were always 2 people in the front room. it was my family, and we were waiting for the guy so we were quiet. nearing the end of the time, i called the cable company, and they said that the guy had just been there but didn't get an answer from inside :| so then i had to wait 2 and a half weeks for the cable modem guy to come out because they were booked solid due to it being student move-in week

I wrote a complaint on planetfeedback.com
this morning, I called to the cust service to reschedule an appointment. I made myself very clear that I wanted an appoint by TODAY! the rep kept telling me that she can't do one and transferred me to another support. I am thinking that she has seen something on my account because of what I wrote to them on planetfeedback.

anyways, I got the appointment by today anytime from the time I called to 6pm.
I got a call from them around 2:30 telling me that they will be there in 30mins. 5mins later, the guy showed up and working on it.

the surpring thing is I got a follow-up call from them apologizing and stuffs. even offered to give me her phone # for any problems. This is probably the planetfeedback effect.

so call them up and start b!tching. planetfeedback is highly recommended 🙂

My company comps me for internet so I can't be happier with the free service I'm getting from OOL. 😀 When I signed up, it was only 3 months at $29.99, not 6 months. I also got $20 credit for the guy being late. I didn't mind. 😉

The down rate could be better... this is with the Motorola SB4200 modem too... I'll try again later.
